We decided to open a public 450PP SS room.

Good room tonight.

Not sure if ITC racer is a GTP guy, but hope to see you at next year's I.T. Spectacular.

Bowtiekid - nice pit road check in the dirty shuffle. Props. I used to race remote controlled and ran a Regionals in Kentucky. Didn't know until then that there were still dry counties in the United States. Crazy. It doesn't stop drinking... just makes it more difficult to get your beer.

Yes sir, Legends Remote Controlled is the bomb. Nothing better then a dry county btw, means more likely to find drunk people.

This how you pass.

how the hell did that happen ?

I find rFactor a little too intimidating...plus my computer sucks big 'ol balls.

I've been playing rFactor, but I can't seem to get myG25 set up properly with it. The dead zone with GT5 is not too bad, I actually don't notice it, but in rFactor it is very pronounced and it makes driving fast difficult.

The biggest difficulty with the differences in physics has been braking, for me. In GT5, the difference in pedal pressure mostly changes your stopping distance. The car won't necessarily behave any differently beyond that. In rFactor, the tires aren't as willing to hold the car in a straight line (I have ABS on low in rFactor and 1 in GT) and the car can become very unsettled under braking. GT5 also has an easier learning curve when it comes to catching the rear end on overzealous corner exits. GT5 almost wants you to hold a nice long drift whereas rFactor factors in more of the cars power band and if your up in the stratosphere of revs when you put the hammer down and the back goes, you basically have to accept defeat. I think if you can handle the cars in GT5 handily, rFactor shouldn't be that big of a challenge. I think GT5 actually does a pretty good job of roadholding and values smooth inputs enough that you can transfer those skills to rFactor.

One of these days I will get on for a 450 night, again. I've been meaning to for a few weeks.

Anybody else feeling an enduro for tonight?

Its not the driving in rfactor that I find tough but the interface...can't seem to get it figured out. It probably doesn't help that I haven't tried that much...

Don't know, just want to mix it up a bit ;)

I have been playing GT5 since release and am just recently getting into the online aspect. My online experience thus far has been terrible having a hard time finding a decent room. I have read the OP club description and this looks right up my ally! In short if anyone would be willing to send me a friend request or reply here and I will send one I would appreciate it as I am looking for a good group of people to race with. Thanks in advance

If we're racing tonight, it'll likely be in a public room and we'll post the number. Feel free to send me a friend request though!

Hopefully not public. I made it through one race last night in a pub room.

Ok, I'll be in my lounge around 9:30. If turnout is light, we'll have to go public.

Sorry, painting the house won't be on tonight.

Some good racing last night. The FF cars are a hoot to drive. The Volvo s60 was good, but a bit large. If only I could've held it on deep forest rev. Nostrdamus Chuyler was right. One run off and that was it. Still good for 4th

We ended up doing another open 450pp night on comfort softs...which turned into a FF battle. Lots of fun. I tried the Neon SRT4 but it was garbage...so I switched to my Peugeot 106 Rallye. The car's tires are so skinny that half the pack passes me at the start and then I have to fight my way back. It's pretty quick though and once the tires warm up their size is comparable to its weight....but it isn't fast enough to keep up with the Integras.

Someone pick a theme for tonight. Not sure if I'll be on for 450pp since I haven't done any practice for my GT500 race.

Sure, trucks it is.

Anyone racing?

Nope...
