After a long hiatus im finally back. All this talk about DLC is making my hair stand. I have to read a lot of thread to find out whats new. I'll see if i can race tonight. Need to update my GT5 first! :)

Is Spa really that good? Coz that track looks amazing!

yes it's a good track.. penalties on weak are a must tho as there are lots of places to cut

it's geared more for a faster class of cars though. imo.

Just found this thread, this is exactly what I've been looking for and the time is perfect. How can I join.

How did you get it? Last time I checked Canada was still in North America, right?

esh, just find a room with the host using spa. lots of our friends overseas are hosting them.

you can race on the track even if you dont have it, as long as the host has the track :) 👍

Is there a limit to how far you can detune your car? i was gonna use a toyota MR2 gts w/ 98% power if it's on pace.

as long as it's 450pp, join the fun.. many guys tune to 470+ and then limit the engine. It helps with the added torque.

Hey what's the theme for tonight?

usually you want to take off parts...when you choke down...yes you have more torque but you also lose a lot of it at high rev (where we spend 95%of the time while racing)

Didn't you hear? We joined the EU a few months ago. We were tired of balanced budgets and low unemployment and wanted to try a few years of near bankruptcy and bailouts...lol.

Anyone hosting tonight?

Last night was uneventful as PSN was down for maintenance.
but a quick question, for the tuning sheets, is there a way to copy your tune (copy & paste) from sheet A to sheet B/C without inputing all the parameters? makes it easier to modify tunes without having to start all over.

My guess would be no...but I haven't tried it yet.

Is it possible for me to join this group? Thank you

Is it possible to join late? I'm on CST time so currently 2 hours behind and in a few weeks 1 hour behind. I often can't race until 9pm local time which is 11pm EST now, but will be 10pm EST in a few weeks.

Do the rooms usually fill up if not there on time, or is it possible to come in late?

You can join the room at anytime, just look for a room number in the thread or send a friend request to Chuyler1 (his list may be full though) or anyone else in the thread.

Lately we haven't been racing until 10:00 EST anyway. With other series/events running, the room hasn't been as full as it used to be...but there is still some exciting racing to be had.

Last night we just ran an open 450pp lounge with CS tires. That was apparently a bit much for the pubbers. Most didn't make it more than one race before quitting. I was trying to get my '86 MR2 dialed in. I never used it on CS tires and combining that with the new physics had me starting from scratch.

If anybody is on tonight or wants to race now I'll make a room and have the room number up later.

you did 450 CS? That's bananas!

It's fun. I unclicked the "4WD" option from the lobby settings. Everyone ran mostly FR/MR cars. Diabolic didn't have any problem with grip...but then again he was racing a Ruf 3400 and a BMW, both of which have insane grip to begin with. I wasn't so lucky... I couldn't hammer the gas down exiting any turn without the rear end stepping out. I messed with LSD settings and camber a few times and got it passable, but after 2 laps rear tire wear got the best of me.

I'm sure I'd have been dead last (as usual?)

Anyone racing tonight? I've got a Spa-Franchorchamps room open (unfortunately with weather change on):

Closed

Lone replay I saved from some spec racing in benz's lounge a few days ago.

Comfort soft night was a bust as my cars were just too grippy for others to keep up. Had i kept running i would have thrown mediums on and had a go. next time though im grabbing cars with a shorter wheelbase for added excitement. ( though ill just mess with the suspension to cancel that out as best i can anyway :D )

I guess I just pick challenging cars...and when someone races halfway decent car without making mistakes, I can't keep up. I really wish there was a way to tune each car equally so it was more about weight and power trade offs and not about mysterious tire widths.

...or we should just do spec racing

I'll second that.
