Yes, some of them can be. But most of them either have slow acceleration or narrow tires, or both. You can finagle parts and ballast to get a few up to speed, and its fun to kick ass in them, but the ones with poor grip don't seem to amount to anything no matter how you tune them.

Prostrho
Joined a bit late and only managed to enter in Rome Reverse, a track i almost never raced. Was probably 1 second off the pace and had a few bumps with AOK which put me further back. Still had fun though.

Watched the Tokyo race, from my end, shlunky and k_reins were lagging a bit. I don't know if that caused the crash near the end. But Shlunky was definitely aggresive with some of his moves.

You're the only one mentioning lag at Tokyo. While running most of the race near chuyler, I'm pretty sure he would have noticed it too and if so I know he would have said something about it. Sounds like the lag may be at your end.

Unfortunately I didn't save that replay. We were all running pretty close and I don't remember anyone jumping around on the track. The only altercation I had was when shlunky nudged me out of the way in turn 1 and broke my draft with reins. His car was obviously faster and I think he was working up through the field. I tried to chase him back down and was close enough to draft when he and reins had an altercation on the last sector. reins got through but I slammed right into shlunky because his car stopped ghosting. Gave me full engine damage, allowing a bunch of cars to pass me before the finish.

He apologized so I let him stay for the next race. His altercation with leadbdr at Rome looks odd in the replay. He bumps leadbdr down the straight trying to squeeze between him and another car. About 1 second after the bump, leadbdrs car gets squirrely and hits the wall. I can only assume there was some sort of lag between the two of them that did not appear in my replay. That's the only explanation I have for someone getting spun out on the straight.

In any case, please speak up if you want someone booted. If they aren't on my friend list, I will gladly play the bully and punt them. I can't see what goes on the entire race so if someone is ruining the fun, we don't need them in the lobby.

shlunky was definitely lagging last night, not just at Tokyo. Can't speak to riens lagging as I didn't see it, so he probably wasn't at least to me.

There were a few people that showed up that were either lagging or ran poorly but for the most part they left by the time the race was over so it was moot.

which of course poses the question...was there lag because of them or lag because of 12 drivers?

He nudges me at :27, and spins by himself at :44 in this short ghetto-fabulous cell video of my crappy tv.

My phone didn't pick it up, but there's an audible thunk when he boots me in the replay.

Are you still wireless with the PS3? I think it was on their end. Because they were consistently laggy, at least those that remained for more than one race.

Nope, I'm wired. 15 mbps download, 8 mbps upload. Not the fastest, but fast enough.

Rome Reverse Race...

Monza from the other night. Sorry about the audio...something happened in the recording process and it came out overdriven. Speaking of overdriving, AOK was up to his usual and somehow made a pass in the dirt for the win. Before that, we had a pretty good race...once I figured out he was cutting one of the chicanes a little too much and I might as well follow suit.

nice entry into the last corner in lap 5 👍 looks like the stratos didnt have the courage to outbrake you.

Sorry I had to leave the enduro race after I got punted by you at the beginning of the 1st lap. Was frustrated after not being able to avoid your mistake..car started pulling bad to the right..I went into a spin taking out somebody else with me..

Anyway, I will be leaving the country soon. So you will not see me for while as I will be on a different time zone. Hope to do couple of more events with you guys before I leave.

cheers

Stay safe

Thanks man.. I definitely had great time and learned a lot racing with you guys. It was a pleasure. If I wake up at 530AM over there, I can make it to your lobby lol

We all ended up with damage by the end of the first lap of that enduro. Racing with boost makes it tough to judge braking distances...hence my little snafu entering the nordeschleiff. you should have stuck with it...but we stopped after 5 laps anyway. Esh parked and Nic got booted from the lobby for no reason.

Germany or the middle east? Just guessing based on the time difference.

Anyone driven the premium Mazda6? I realized I didn't have it last night so I threw some parts on it. Haven't taken it to the track yet. I also parted up a standard '03 Mazda6. I'll be curious to see whether either of them perform better than the Mazdaspeed6.

Oh, and I hate to say this but I'm already bored of the standard wheel choices. I actually like the uniqueness of the default standard wheels better than the options they provide. I wish you could adjust the diameter because most come out too big for the vehicle, and none of them look good on muscle cars.

Yeah, they're really aren't enough options. How did PD miss this obvious marketing opportunity? I really wish I have the customization available in Forza 4 in GT5. There are exponentially more wheel models, you can fine tune paint colors, and you can do custom designs/liveries on the cars.

I know huh. They could easily market a wheel pack, provided the wheels worked on all cars in the game. People would buy that. Who cares about race outfits that are seen for all of 15 seconds at the end of a race...but only if you win.

Eff helmets and outfits. They are a waste of space on my PS3's hard drive.

No time for that. Must spend the manhours modelling a Nissan Leaf, another Mini and ignoring the customer complaints about their network.
