The body kits affect down-force, even without the wing.
I thought so too..
Nick, are you sure bodykit doesn't affect the down force at all ? Why wouldn't the game count a car "stock" in that case ?

NicktuneChanges?It's over your car mileage.

Nick, that's the amount of times you driven it...
NicktuneYes that's correct!Sorry...the traduction is highly misleading...It's called (Modifications)wth!.![]()
I had quite an experience on my way home from Northern New Hampshire yesterday. Thank god for winter tires. I was on a back road, speed limit 50 mph, and there were snow flurries, enough to cause those wispies across the road but not enough to stick. I was in a line of cars going about 55 when the car in front of me slid off the road on a moderate right hand turn. Just like when your tires go red in GT5 he just veered across the yellow line right for a guard rail. Text book black ice. An on coming car had to cross the road in front of me to avoid him.
Anyone heard about The Donner Party ?![]()
dabneydWhy did I just get hungry?
NAT1 is 'better' (depending on how you want to look at it) but for all intents and purposes NAT1 and NAT2 are equal in the GT/Online gaming world. NAT3 is the one that causes issues. One NAT3 user in a non-fixed room can cause problems.. not so in a fixed host room.
Osprey, I don't think that thread is accurate. I haven't seen any evidence to prove that fixed host creates a different network architecture. By all accounts it just prevents someone else from being the host. When the host leaves, the room dies. The lobby itself is always hosted on a PD server. Racers send their data directly to each other. It creates more network traffic but reduces latency. Since bandwidth required for the game is relatively low, in theory the mesh network should be better. Otherwise, the host would see low pings for everyone while everyone else sees higher pings for everyone except the host.
Anyway, I think PD updated their software to smooth out latency...and whatever they did, it isn't working. I know for a fact we used to have lag-free 16 driver races back when we were running v1.0 last spring. We had a few regulars from Italy and Australia too. They occasionally lagged but it usually settled down without affecting anyone's game play other than a bump here or there.
Things to try next time:
* Turn off visual damage
* Turn off or lower mic quality
* Lower game quality (I usually have it on high instead of very high, but maybe low would provide a smoother experience with a full lobby)
