+1, They get 1 verbal warning. If they don't return to the lobby within 10 seconds they probably don't have chat sound on and/or don't speak english. Give them the boot. The sooner you boot them, the less likely they are to trash talk you. Don't respond to them or just say "Sorry we were running a private club race and you were in the wrong car class". Everyone from here understands the themes so you don't have to be worried about booting one of us.

Ive been trimming my friends list so if I do host again it will be in my lobby.

To be fair, me, Graham, and Osprey had a fantastic race the second time we tried nurburgring with full damage. :) 3 wide coming down the massive back straight was just tons of fun.

I have to admit though that full damage + muscle cars is a tad bit more difficult than having heavy damage with an open 450 pp :) I really like running with heavy damage because of the realism and the better "driving on the edge" feeling.

Does anyone actually enjoy thursdays FF Hatchback night? We should replace it with 500pp 90s JDM or something, would get some different cars in the mix.

I may have to move the start time to 10:00 so I can make sure to host. My wife's new schedule has cut into my race time and I won't be able to get on at 9:30 very often.

I don't mind a full damage race here and there, but I would have booted all the pubbers not on my list before starting it. Full damage with drivers that don't have mics and don't understand that we are racing clean is a recipe for disaster. From the sound of it, I left at the right time.

I can usually weed out the pubbers when I host. I know leadbedr and grenade were being polite about people being in the wrong cars giving them a chance to change but if someone cannot read the title I boot them as soon as they hit the track with the wrong car. People that don't take the time to read the room title, rarely take the time to race clean. Sometimes I just blindly boot people not on my friend list. I'd rather race with 8-10 of you guys than a full pack of questionable racers.

I'm new to the forum but have been abiding by the rules, if everyone is on I would not mind a 10 pm start time, my wife would be happier also.

You guys are better drivers and are usually in the front from the start.
Try starting mid pack where people think they need to get to the front in the first corner.

you can win a race in the first corner, but you sure can lose it

I like to mix up the drivetrains a bit and we didn't do it last week. I asked for suggestions on themes last week and no one spoke up.

I'll make one of the themes next week 90s JDM. Not sure about going to 500pp though. I did it for muscle car night because a bunch of them were over 450 to start. I wasn't planning on going to 500pp every night.

I would like to try a spec night.

I got video and snapped up pic of us down the back straight that I'll post up later. :D

keep it on 450 pp just my 2 cents... its hard for me to race you guys at 450pp what more at 500pp..... :sly:

been absent the past few days for any online race, as work had me doing some stuff, organizing a company's Memorial Day weekend camping takes it toll on me, didnt even get to try out my new DFGT wheel... that thing is still in the box...

if its ok i'm suggesting to add a 4dr RWD/FWD sedan race to the mix....

Me too. I'm thinking a low PP RM car or something.

I'm also thinking we should pick the first few tracks for a given night in case players want to better prepare for them. It would speed up the time between races if drivers are ready and just need to put in a few qualifying laps. When I host, I usually put in 2-3 timed laps and then tell people to get in for the start.

That's a good idea too. I tried "family night" to get people into vans and wagons but the 4WD wagons dominated. Four doors and FF/FR restriction sounds like fun...but like any theme, there will likely be some sleepers.

my 330i begs to differ ;)

Wednesday's 'Ring night will be back to 450pp this week.. I was trying to think of a theme. 4 doors is an idea. Open to other suggestions as well..

Thats why I want to try a single make race. There will be no sleepers
I know that most are faster than me, but I also know they are better tuners.

10pm is getting a bit late. Although I'm not a "regular", I would prefer it to remain at 9.30 and have someone else host it (eg leadbedr). If anything, stretch the race time to 12.30 to give people flexibility if they prefer a later start - I am sure people will stick around to race.

The reason I suggested going to 500pp for 90s JDM is because it would help fit the R32 and R33 GT-Rs in. I'll also admit that I find 450pp to be a bit on the slow side

Regarding tracks, we could keep them in theme with the car restrictions when possible.

JDM night: Tsukuba, Suzuka, Fuji, and SSR5.

Muscle night: Daytona Road, Indy Road, Laguna Seca

I'd like to run Monza more often also.

was expecting the 4drs theme to be dominated by BMW vs. Merc sedans.... ESo if you can try that one this coming Wed that would be nice. No rush though! :)

that low pp RM car theme sounds good too! 👍

never get the chance to join the "family night", but 4wd sedans/wagons are on a different league and that can be a future theme....

I dropped in yesterday by chance, but I think I'll frequent these rooms often from now on. I apologize for suggesting heavy damage @monaco to those who didn't like it. Personally I had to return to the pits right after the first corner =]

Generally I like heavy damage, but this should probably be turned on later during the session. Hopefully I'll have time to prep some car for tonight, and not just grab whatever I had with SS tires installed already.

Tonight's theme...
450pp, CS Tires, RWD Drivetrain required

I expect there to be some wheelspin. Tune your cars wisely and make the most out of that LSD! Please try to stay off other driver's rear quarter panels in the turns. If you accidentally pit maneuver someone, please stick to GTP OLR and let them pass you back.

Oh, also, it would be nice to see a mix of cars and not everyone in the NSX, Elise, and Evora.

^I'm contemplating a yellowbird =)
But probably for later in the evening.

That's a challenge. I have enough trouble in that car with SH tires.

I'll be showing up in a variety of mr2's :) It's all rear drive cars right? So my miatas, rx7s, monaro, and my RUF's will be acceptable? :dopey:

Came across an advice somewhere on this forum that to learn to drive that beastie, one better start driving it on CH tires and go up from there...

Yes, yes, and yes. There are lots of fast cars to choose from the NC Miata, RX7, RX8, MR2, will all be quick. However the mid engine cars might be tough to handle on the CS tires. They tend to get tail happy. I'm not sure what I'm going to run. I may pull out the RX8 since I haven't driven it in ages.

I did manage to run an A-spec event in it, bone stock on SH tires. Once you get acquainted with it, you can run consistent laps...but racing wheel to wheel is tough because you often run a very different line. I've got my BTR tuned pretty well on SS tires but I still have some issues to work out. I was pretty quick at Daytona Sunday night, but I had trouble duplicating my laps during the race.

I have posted a schedule for next week. Please note I'll be at Limerock Park in Connecticut for the Grand Am races Friday through Monday. I need some volunteers to host the room in my absence. I have also chosen some tracks so that drivers can better prepare and know what to expect. Once the 4 selected tracks have been run, its up to the lobby leader or vote system for picking additional tracks.

Sunday will remain 80's night since we all know the format it shouldn't be hard to host. I picked a couple standards as well as some tracks we haven't run in a while. See the OP for the list.

Monday will remain muscle car night but we will stick to the tracks they perform best at. Monza no chicane is a fast fun romp. The rest of the tracks are in the USA as to be expected.

Tuesday will be JDM 90's night. All Japanese cars, all Japanese tracks. Pretty straight forward there.

Wednesday will be Nurburgring night again. Osprey, let me know if you want a specific theme to go with it. I'd love to see some people post videos from this night. It sounds like you are having some tight battles.

Thursday will be a vacation in Europe with your family. You'll get to see all the sights as you tour europe's greatest cities. 4 door sedans with FR or FF drivetrains (preferably from Europe but not required). London is on the schedule...we don't run it often because it is tight. I hope we can be civil.

Friday and Saturday are open as usual.

The following week, i'd like to get in a spec race. Please make suggestions on what car to choose. If things go well, perhaps we'll allow the winner to choose the spec car for the following week. I like the idea of using a RM car, maybe the Silvia. thoughts or suggestions?

What time you guys running tonight?
It is supposed to start at 9:30 but I haven't been getting online that early lately. The room will be open sometime between 9:30-10:00 and the number will be posted here.

yesterday i was hitted several time in almost every race, monaco and the ring was a total mess, my races last just one turn. hope tonight will be better. also i think that someone was not in the 1400kg limit, not shure of this but on rome i have a very clean and fast lap in practice and still was 3 seconds behind the leader. anyway i suggest to ran on harder tires. much longer breaks means more room to pass and get passed whitout hit-being hitted by someone else

Yeah, I had some suspicion that some of the vettes were running a little light. They were cornering much quicker than my 1400kg Cougar. I messed with the suspension between races but still couldn't carry as much speed. i think Grenade made a comment about me always running wide...I just couldn't get that damn Cougar to turn in. It sure was fast on the straight though.

I doubt the vette's were the biggest of your worries. The car with a stage 1 weight reduction was 1396 kg. I actually added 104 kilos to get the car to handle the way I wanted it to. The camaros on the other hand were 1415 kilos stock so if anyone did ANY weight reduction they were probably illegal. Also, my vette had the small spoiler on the back so I had like 15 downforce. Your cougar was blasting me on the straights at daytona (actually all the cars were). I also had a decent suspension setup on adjustable height shocks. A heavy car doesn't necessarily mean it can't turn.

My vette was running at exactly 1400kg with only 4kg of ballast added on, so no cheating here.

EDIT: It appears I have been ninja'd :dopey:
