I don't think I'm going to watch the entire replay again. Its pretty clear from the footage I did get that Bowtie was lagging badly. I think he mentioned running bittorrent on his network after the race, unless that was someone else.

I'd really like to see some other people post a video or two so I can see what my driving looks like on the other side of the network.

I don't know if I ever look like I'm lagging, but someone point it out if I am. I've got torrents going almost constantly

I think the biggest problem here is that gt5 physics allow, nay, encourage punting. It is always the punter that gets the advantage, and the puntee is usually screwed the rest of the race.

Yes. Even with penalties on, drivers can get away with it. If you ghost because of a potential punt you should get engine damage for a moment. The same goes for ghosting when you are about to side swipe someone.

Also, using the ghost tactic for lagging cars would really help. Sometimes its just a momentary spike that causes a car to bounce around the track. It wouldn't be hard to program in a lag detector that ghosts cars for a period of time during and after the lag spike.

it would take PD 6 years to develop this technology, and then it would only work 20% of the time

Myself, AOK, Osprey, Diabolic, leadbedr (i think), Nic, and there are more if us.

Don't know how you do it.

Last night was short and sweet for me. Nurburgring was great battling Nic. I think that was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time I've run that track online. Subaru was underpowered a bit on straights but I had a massive grip advantage w/AWD. I have to watch the replay of that one. Good clean racing.

Also, does anyone use the cockpit view in premiums? I made a point of switching to that in prologue, but I need to reconfigure my wheel so I have easier access to the side views. I try to be overly cautious when passing/getting passed cause there's such a disparity of viewpoint.

Track:Nurburgring GP/F
Car: Audi TT '03 (premium) ... the car is 420pp stock.
how good is this car?Anyone tried it yet?

I'm not a fan of the TT but it doesn't really matter if everyone has to deal with it.

I love the track selection though. We should run the Nurburgring GP tracks more often.

I'm not a fan of the TT either:scared:....but there is not a lot of choice in the premium car dealer (under 450pp).
It can't be worse than the lancia.:P

Pick a car over 450, de tuning a car and making it fast will be more challenging. Won't be on tonight, some people actually have real life race series. :P

There are quite a lot of premium cars under 450 to pick from actually. I never use standard cars unless there is literally nothing premium available (vintage night).

Sounds good to me. I've never used the car, and I don't see them on the track very often so it should be another challenge in tuning.

That would be me! :D Let's see some variety boys. I wonder how many will choose power over weight.

How about no Samba bus for the classic :D

That's crap! If I dominate autumn ring again with another car, are you gonna ban it too? :P

Nice Job Pratt Vette's for winning their class. Great way to celebrate 100 years of Chevrolet.

I was on last night but i was messing with the TT. It actually behaves quite well without much tuning.

As for banning the samba bus tonight, i dont think it is necessary. BTK, i just recommend picking another car for Autumn Ring...it was clear from last week's race that your bus was quicker than everyone else on that track. It didnt have the same advantage on other tracks. Perhaps you just run a cleaner line...and if thats the case you should be able to dominate with another vehicle.

I wouldn't ban the bus. He just pulled out an early lead last week and I was able to match his lap times the rest of the race. Plus it's fun to see that thing slide around.

We should do a two lap race at Le Sarthe tonight

Lol, I won't use the bus tonight to be fair. Also, you were matching my times because you started shadowing my line. :P You've picked up that trick too go fast on the switchbacks, it's amazing how fast it is over the traditional line.
