I just wits there was a MkIII Jetta in the game 👍

I will not be hosting tonight, but I will eventually join the room. Someone else with a high quality connection and previous hosting experience chime in.

80s Night again...Time to bust out the new and improved Izuzu. Turns out either the stock setting for suspension are screwed or when Cujo hacked my account on the old PS3 he changed my car. I never looked but after a race last night I checked at the camber was .0 in the front and 2.0 in the back. The ride height was -10 in the front and jacked to +9 and the back and ballast was on the car. Either it was a drunken stupor or brotherly voodoo. She's fixed now and better than ever!

Not sure what I'm going to run tonight. I'll see if I have something new to try...but there are so many old favorites!

ooh i like the lineup this week. trucks, tvr, z's RWD baby!

I will miss the first race. Wife just started watching movie that runs 1H 47Min and I'll be on just after that. If its full and the normal group...I'll wait it out. :D

The green goblin returns... The suspension has been reworked. It's been re-geared again. And, the secret to my drive ability problems has been found out!

Beware the Green Goblin...

Now, is this because they've gotten to be better drivers, or they have better cars/tunes?

al gore cancelled the internet in my house last night. was not happy.

Looks like the golden toilet got flushed last night :)👍

I don't know if anyone could hear me on the mic last night but on GVE-R, I didn't see anyone bump you. But I also only saw 5 people on the track; no Nic, no diabolic or whoever else was in that race besides me, you, chuyler, dabneyd, and benz. It looked like you just spun.

That actually happens quite often. There are times I hear other people talking to someone that I can't hear. Everything seemed to settle down for the next race though.

Well over half of the cars in the game can be tuned for 450pp or less. If you can't find anything to race at 450, this isn't the club for you.

Very interesting Nic. I bet some of this is a factor of tuning and car selection. I haven't changed my line all that much since I first learned the track for GT Academy.

Great racing last night everyone. We had close battles on almost every track...

Grand Valley East -- I had a bad first lap on cold tires. My RX-7 doesn't like to be pushed hard into brake zones and I went wide on the final turn. Diabolic and Nic took advantage and got by. I spent several laps chasing them down. At one point I almost got past Diabolic but I failed to complete the pass exiting the hairpin. The next lap I got another good run on the outside. Diabolic was closing in on Nic. I stayed outside, he went inside, and then I think he ran out of braking zone and went wide as Nic and I squeaked past. For the remainder of the race, Nic and I swapped places each lap via drafting. That's really the only way to pass on this track it seems. I wasn't sure if I could complete a pass on the final straight of the final lap so I opted to pass on lap 9. I held off Nic for lap 10 and then exiting the final turn he spun his tires and that was enough for me to win by a few 100ths of a second.

High Speed Ring -- This is basically another drafting track. Mbenz in his golden toilet was pretty quick but I had to keep waiting up for him. 10 laps was a bit much and grenade had lost his connection so the race wasn't very eventful.

Rome Reverse -- A tight 4-way battle for the first 4-5 laps with a little bit of rubbing but nothing I wouldn't consider malicious. I managed to pull ahead for several laps but with no one to draft it was only a matter of time before someone caught up. Nic gave grenade some boost and after I made a few mistakes grenade caught my draft. We were side-by-side entering the kink and I tried to leave some room and hit the wall. I should've just turned in to grab my line but I misjudged how much tire I had to make a wide run on the turn. I cooked my front right tire and hit the wall giving the win to grenade. Nic might have been able to challenge him but he hit me as I bounced off the wall.

Suzuka -- Another tight battle at the front. I was sandwiched between two 240RS's when Nic blew the lead spinning out in turn 1. Grenade and I draft passed the final laps but when grenade thought the race was over on lap 4 it put me in the right position to pass him on the front straight. I held the lead through the esses and pushed real hard into the second part of Degner curve using the clay on the outside exiting it. I had to ease into the throttle for fear of spinning out and when I looked in my rearview grenade was sideways. He said he checked up on me but I think he just took the same line I did and was too quick on the gas. I coasted to a victory without having to worry about that final draft pass. I forgot to save the replay. Grenade, you should record those final laps if you saved it.

It's going into rehab now :)

That was a lot of fun last night. Thanks for the help in tuning the RUF BTR there Huyler, worked really well even if I don't have the best skill-set yet. Getting a bit better everytime I log on though, it's mostly just figuring out the tuning.

Really looking forward to the Z night tomorrow. I've got a black 240ZG that resembles my real 1974 260ZG in style and performance. Should be fun.

Rome 4-way battle last night. 4 different cars, all very competitive.

Having watched the video a few times. By 11:10 in your video, I was on the brakes hard and you could have turned in with no problems. I definitely didn't block your turn in, you just waited a big long because you thought I was beside you. Granted, there was barely a second for you to make that decision in as your turn in point was at 11:11. I really think you should have braked earlier. Either way, oh well.

Still, wish it wouldn't have turned out that way.

Al Gore got to my internet as well apparently. Not sure if I was lagging, but it felt like I was driving with sensitivity at maximum about 2 laps into the Rome race than it disconnected. When I logged back in, the entire GT game, from menus to car selection was slowed. Then I logged into my sub account and everything is normal. I didnt log back on after that. I dont understand how my sub account loads the game 3X quicker and has no problems while I main account is slowed. My PS3 is only used for GT5 (Only game I've ever bought) and watching DVDs. (not through netflix, just our own DVDs) Nothing else is or has ever been on the system.

I'm noticing on the video that once I'm in 4th, I can no longer keep up with the draft. I think the problem, besides my car having just 242HP is thats it built for me to flick it around and if I miss one corner, it slides. I missed the last section into the straight (which can be heard even in the vid) and I have zero closing speed. I'm gonna stick with it though. Its an awful mess out of the box and I'm too stubborn to leave it. :)

I think it has to do with your friends list. Mine has done the same thing. I turned off notifications and it helped a bit.

It wasn't really the braking that was the issue for me....it was track position. Nearing the brake zone it was clear to me that I couldn't cut in and use the left-side apex. Once a car is along side me, I revert to 2-wide racing. You had full overlap with me and a better line entering the turn. Whether you were intending to pass or not, I had to adjust my line as to not cut you off. I've never taken that turn 2-wide before from the outside so it was going to be a first. You braked before me, but I wasn't watching you at that point, I was trying to carve out a wider line through the first part of the turn. I braked a little later than I should have, but had my tire not cooked, I could have maintained the arc. Watch my car change direction right as the tire overheats. I actually took my foot off the brake before it cooked because I thought I had the right trajectory.

Anyway, I maintained 1.2+ second lead for several laps so I'm still happy with the race. I made one minor mistake during those laps but most of the reason you caught up was from Nic pushing you to within drafting distance of me. From probably .8 seconds back you quickly closed the gap by drafting me. The last lap would have been about drafting anyway, with the car in 2nd place before the final turn most likely getting the win.

You can just barely catch Grenade spinning out. I don't think the RS200 was close enough to hit him, but it could have been a lag spike.

*taps mic* Is this thing on?

No one hit him...

Is this a response to a comment? Course and people involved? Nic never pushed me but you posted this after a comment of mine, so I confused
