Wow. I'm speechless. Boy and girls, education is important regardless of what your parents, guardians, friends, or family think. r3ddnekteddybear, as an educator of children in the past, the son of a career English teacher, and a self-made businessman, it pains me to see you embracing a way of life so wholly without consideration for your own aptitude.
If I thought you'd care, I'd suggest that you throw your PS3 in the trash and immediately pick up a book to study for your GED. A GED will get you into a community college or trade school, and there you will at least have an opportunity to learn how to properly contribute to society as a whole.

Kids like you and the families who support their decisions are the bane of this society we're apart of today. Not only do your kind refuse to move along with cultural progress by creating your own inherent sub-cultures, but you think that stating your socio-econmic position is a way to cop out of a specific argument made against you:

I don't care where you come from, who you're folks are, why you decided to stop your education in HIGH SCHOOL, or anything else about you. What I do know is that I've known some people throughout my life, both adults and children alike, who've been in situations worse than I could imagine myself in; Yet these individuals decided their parents, friends, and family's lifestyle wasn't for them and they bettered themselves through college.
My wife was born to a very poor family, but a family that valued their daughters well-being. They could never help financially and my wife knew that early on. She focused on school, she made the grades, and she got a full ride academic scholarship to the University of Texas where she received her Bachelor's degree from last year. She now works for a massive international consulting company and makes a very respectable salary, and is considering a Master's Degree.
Now, I only say this because she's an example to anyone who comes from distraught socio-econimc backgrounds where there seems to be little hope. It took my wife 10 years, after High School, to obtain her Bachelors Degree. She worked hard at it and earned what she wanted because she knew the importance. I was more fortunate, coming from an upper-middle class family, but still college was a self-paid endeavor. I left after three years and started a string of businesses, opening and selling them over a period of five years. My wife and I's first house was twice as big as my families house and ten times as as big as her family's home.
However, we can't afford the things we really want because of our tax-bracket (34%+). You probably don't have a clue why I'd bring this up...
My wife and I's hard work, all of our taxes paid, our self-motivation to better ourselves and get ready to begin a family of our own, is overshadowed by the fact that our taxes go to losers who never finish school and don't work. We ultimately put food on the table for millions of lazy people, overweight people, "under-priveleged", and more. All the while those same losers have cable, Playstation3's, cigarette's, and booze to continue their ridiculous way of life.
I think it would do you good, that if you decide not to focus on your education, to read up on what Castro did with the unemployed, the sick, the overweight, and the uneducated people of Cuba in 1958 and 1959.
