like i said in one of the other thread, on various sites you can find the NUMBER 500 on your screen, including 2nd hands and "toycars"
The number of tracks is also increased, there is said that there are up to 50 tracks in gt4, but i think they did count the reverse tracks also.

BUT AFTER ALL, like anyone else here, i can't wait to slide the disc into my PS2 and start racing :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Whut i have seen on the Playstation E3 site iz 500 cars (whitout some extra prize cars i guess) and 100 tracks... Lets hope...

I think that it might be just under the 500 mark including prize cars. They have the 190 odd models from gt3 and then they have to make another 300 odd in the 3 years that they have to make the game and since it probably takes a week or so to make a model of a car then the total could fall a little short of the 500 but i could be wrong.

They will probably use all the new concepts from GTC, so that fills up some places. However, since the release of GTC all manufacturers kept on designing and building new cars. And don't forget the 2nd hand cars, there are a lot of these machines too.

OMG!!!! THERE WAS AN INTERVIEW WHIT THE GUY... eh... nutasomthin... AND HE SAID THAT THERE WAS GOING TOO BE MORE CARS THAN GT1-GT2 AND GT3 PUT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!
OMG THATS LIKE 1000 CARS!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

With all those cars & tracks *hopefully*, will the AI be improved? (no cheating, pitting on 2nd to last lap, ramming your car or walls;) )

There!

In the June 2003 edition of English car magazine "Evo" there is an article about the making of GT4. "Evo" go to Millbrook (a test-track in the UK) where the GT development team are taking photos and sound recordings of hundreds of cars. They talk to Yamauchi and others etc... but there is a particular reference which i'm sure will put smiles on your faces:

"The forthcoming GT4 has more cars than the previous three iterations put together"

(there are also references to a four-figure total)

Judging by some of the cars I see in the photos in this article, I would imagine this to be more accurate than the "500" figure being rumored.

They are also doing the same thing in italy, america and japan as well but at the moment the official word is 500. we'll have to see if there is any change in the number that are in the game nearer release

If indead 450 of the 500 cars are japanese, how many versions of the skyline will there be in GT4? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Actually, it sounds unbelievable to me. :odd:

......maybe you could buy 500 toy cars, put them on your carpet and make a car wash and a few tracks with sticks and voila, there you go, start playin'

seriously, no one can wait for it.....and is really does sound unbelievable, put remember the first time you played GT 1, didn't that game seem unbelievable with 150 cars and those graphics, hold your hat, the same could happen with GT4:D

I think that 90% of the persons who play GT4 for the first time, will get a HAERT-ATTACK......everybody will be shocked by the massive impact this game will make in the racing-genre for game-consoles. It almost doesn't mather anymore if there are 500 or 1000 cars in GT4, IT IS ENOUGH!!!

:p :p :p
