I keep meaning to look into that and try it out. What's the best way to find it? Never done anything other than QM's, seasonals and the game itself. lol
As @coryclifford said it's in the tuning forum, Just come over and look for the non sticky FITT thread read the OP.

Are you getting 197-199 on the downhill or are you redlining at 185? You should be hitting 199 consistently on the downhill.
As for the uphill you have to clear the first turn after the tunnel at 155+
I'm getting 190kph at the bottom of the downhill, and only 138 in the turn after the tunnel. The aliens go through this turn in 6th gear, but the auto is shifting down to 4th here, so that will be making a big difference. I have finally cracked into the 1.08's though!

Easy win with Lancer Evolution V GSR 98. Will post tune if anyone needs it.

I tried using Ralley cars but it wouldn't let me...indicator said it had to be a "regular" car. Weird.

Sounds like your line.
For the final turn adjust it, treat it as one turn not three.
The right hand dog leg set up super far left, lift, turn and floor it clipping the apex and sliding out. Watch the number car (at least he was 7 last I looked) they are driving with only abs 1

There are owners of a setup?:P

I want that beer from davidt33(1.07) and then Im done

Edit: 1:08.157. Small steps :P
yes its usual and logical to be owner of a setup... the greek guy that helps me spent a lot of hours in front of the ps3 to find the good combination between setup changes

It was pretty quick and easy to gold. It may have a 1:09 in it. Same can be said of the Focus '99 and Escort Rally too. All 3 have 50/50 balance and it shows in the corners. Best of the Group A cars on tarmac imo. The Subarus are close too though. The EVO Super Rally... There are way more good rally cars than bad. I pushed every single one of them to gold.

When I saw this challenge my knee jerk reaction was the Evo than the Subie Proto type, than the Group B cars. I never would have thought about the RSC as the top car.
It's all about power to weight and the location of the best part of the power band. need a 3.21 kg to hp ratio (or better) and late power band. and even or forward bias weight distro to keep it in check the S4 could be very very fast but will need lots and lots of skill to drive to the limit due to the 44:56 split.

My best so far is 1.09.324 in @hall90's RSC. I'm about to put another couple of hours in tonight, wish me luck! :)

Improved to 1.09.195 but I had to turn on Active Steering to do it. Overall a pretty disappointing run today...tried a few things that didn't work out for me (@Motor City Hami's Tarmac Rally baseline tune for example - a good baseline, but knowing what I know, which is not much, I couldn't manage to get more time out of it).

As for the topic of people owning tunes, I always name the setup in-game after the people who post them then add an X or 2 when tweaking. It's only proper to give some kind of credit for the hard work.

.....and Kossie for the base tune

Must admit, in the end I found it faster without the toe adjustments - would accelerate mid-turn without losing the back end.
