Did a 1:32.291 in a Nissan GT-R GT500 Base Model for 2nd place atm

I predict the winning time to be a high 1:27 - mid 1:28

I absolutely love my Honda HSV-010's but I wanted to use something different for this event. So, I fired up my Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1 '00 which is tuned by @Ridox2JZGTE. The car is only 597PP if you follow the replica tune precisely, however, you can ditch some of the ballast as get it up to 600PP, I believe. Also, Ridox built this replica with a bit of camber applied to both front and back wheels. If you feel it is giving you trouble, I'm sure you could tame the camber settings a bit. If I can get a Gold with this car just about any of you should be able to as well. Give it a try!! :)

Question

Whats there so wrong about a HSV??
Nothing is wrong with it, it is an excellent car. I have used it for previous seasonal seasonal events and its been great. I like to find other cars which see less attention and have the capabilities to win gold personally. Variation is what makes this game interesting. last months Car of the Month thread highlighted this perfectly.

Putting in a couple of laps in the Nissan Calsonic Impulse GTR 08 ( @praiano63 tune... adjusted to 600 ) felt so refreshing :lol:after the sessions at Silverstone :banghead:
.
. . The GTR feels so stable.... mid to low 1.34 with at least a second or two with a real clean lap ...

I'm not a big fan of this track ( probably cause I don't know it well enough and I suck on it)..
But.... it's a nice break from Silverstone .... shame that the other time trial is (once again) at Willow Springs.. :irked:

Bizzare :boggled: I am in 27th spot with 1:31.756 and the guy below me in 28th spot (oilpressure) with 1:31.770 has the exact same name as me :crazy: . He is from Finland and I am from Australia :odd: Is he my doppleganger /Tommyknocker?

HSV base model, had a bad day, so i used a car that was allready tuned.
Settings from @shaunm80 (not the laguna seca tune), easy one to get gold for me.

Is it me or are the current events from today not that hard to get gold?
Took me less than 30 minutes to pick the cars, do a lap or two, get gold. Move on to the next. Drift events were done first time. Thank you, ill take those credits and leave these events alone now.

So far got a 1:35.504 with the '05 YMS Supra and it needs a few more tweaks to get it under the 35s.

Had 10 minutes at lunch to give this a go in the HSV, great to drive a car with grip and some downforce (GTA is fun too).

1:31.871 with a bad transmission set-up. Car felt bogged down. Love driving this thing.....need to smooth out my driving in the last sector (so easy to overdrive).

Think I have another second to gain at least.

Used @dddsprayshop tune with no adjustments, the suspension settings and lsd made the car feel beautiful, managed just over 9000 rpm in fifth gear at the end of the main straight, try again tommorow

as usual with race cars, i don't have the users manual, and Fuji is not my favorite track but 1 sec still hurts...

the tune is probably similar to the tunes made for the TT on Laguna Seca, so i won't say it's mine:

HSV base model, oil change, no rigidity, engine step 3: 96.8%
drivetrains:
60-60
11.21-14.50
1-1
1-1
7-7
0.0-0.0
0.00-0.00
brakes: 5-5
downforce: 350-400
LSD: 5/10/20
gearbox: 240 speed, 6 to the right, final gear: 3.100
1st: 4.919 2nd: 3.295 3rd:2.590 4th: 2.125 5th: 1.795 6th: 1.507

Just realized I have no GT5 cars in my collection. Need to rectify that...

And... Done with the Xanavi Nismo GT-R '08. 1:36.576

Looks like @Mini Stiggy tune from Mazda Raceway as far as the suspension setup anyway. I like it here too, but need help with transmission. Thanks.

Also, no oil change may be better.

P5 :) 29.922 with the setup @Dart_Field posted (Thanks for the post) with aero at 400 450 and brakes 6 8. Shooter is just too quick out the final corner!

HSV is a joy to control

RAWR!

good job 👍 especially with that gearbox, i was too disapointed to stop last night, i made a longer gearbox and i was faster.
also a few changes:
height: 65-60
spring: 11.21-14.00
i don't know why i modified, but the rear had more grip for the 2nd turn so better traction/confidence.
new GB: 240 speed, 6th to the right, final gear: 2.950
1st: 4.505 2nd:3.201 3rd:2.590 4th:2.128 5th:1.809 6th:1.562

i'll try with more do downforce next session, thanks for the feedback 👍
