Got me another .113 improvement from a 1:20.664 to a now 1:20.551. Getting closer!

Not sure what else I can do to improve other than my exit onto the main straight. Keep loosing .200 or so there. May try playing with ride height (lower in back) and taking the diff settings down a bit.
I use active steering, I know I shouldn't, however I am .300-.500 with it on all of these TT's.

I ended up making a few adjustments to Ed's KTM tune:

Ride height in the rear to 70 vs 65
Anti roll bars to 7/6 vs 7/7
Diff to 10/15/30 vs 8/9/26
BB to 5/4 vs 5/5

I also shifted a bit sooner and carried the next gear up in more corners to smooth things out and improved to a 1:20.437.

Trying to get 1:20 even with a perfect lap for me.

New personal best with the X-BOW R '12.

1:19,367 P8

90 65
3,80 7,30
3 4
3 4
7 7
0 0
0,05 0

racing brake: 5 / 5

LSD: 8 / 9 / 26

power: install all parts (no oil) @ 94,5% limiter

weight: WR stage 3 + 150kg @ 0% = 900kg

gearbox:
FG: 5,000
Topspeed: 180km/h
gears ( 1st - 6th ): 2,885 / 2,138 / 1,800 / 1,526 / 1,298 / 1,107
FG: 2,600

Chassis stiffness installed
Awesome tune, I beat my MP4-12C time by .700-.800 👍. I got a 1:23.800, I had a few issues where I had to adjust the weight distribution to 48/52 to make it less tail happy. I'll have to try it again since I forgot to do the chassis stiffness :dunce:. I used tc on 2-3, abs 1 and active steering off :).

I am still a learning and am at just under 1:24.6 . I think I can improve using just my own replays for a while still but I can certainly already see there are things where I am guessing why one turn was faster than the other.

Is there a place from which I could get replays closer to my own times but made by other drivers? The 1:19's and 1:20's are not all that useful to me, as they simply outrun me too quickly for me to really learn anything from them. I would like to get below 1:24.000, which is around 0.5-0.6 seconds faster than I currently am (as opposed to being 5-6 seconds faster).

I drive the NSX tune by Shaun as described in this thread.

Already try the X-BOW? Its much more stable as the NSX.

Yeah, I have tried the X-bow, just not for a few hundred kilometers, more like a few laps and really, it got quite close to my pb. I think that's the rub right there though; I simply need to drive much more. My expectations for how long it takes to know a car and track are unrealistic.

I like the X-bow but I think I like the NSX more. I don't really understand the X-bow. To me it is ultra-stable until suddenly it's not. The NSX "communicates" a bit more... again probably just because I have driven it more.

I will try to bury my worries that my lines are all wrong (problems with choices) and just focus on practicing (problems with execution).

Thanks guys! :)

It takes a lot of practice, I'm the opposite. I prefer the x-bow with @Ed_Night's tune, for me it is very stable vs. the nsx. I'm only less than a second ahead of you time wise. If you want to add me to your friends list, you can try to use my line as a guide. My psn is the same as my user name here SilverSE102.

Thanks! I will definitely do that once I get the chance. Thank you. :)

Made some adjustments to improve slightly to a 1:20.387.

RH to 90/90
Diff to 10/12/35
BB to 4/4 (helps in 1st and 3rd sectors)
Ballast down a tad to 147 (seems to help me hit the apex more often)

Key for me seems to be a focus on smooth braking, good (mellow) apex speeds and really trying to minimize lateral slip as much as possible.

Loosing the most time .200 or so in the last chicane. Need to really clean-up the braking and the line I am taking leading into this chicane. Getting this down will help with the last left sweeper onto the main straight.

Getting closer to you coryclifford!!!

This TT was pretty fun, I'm not good at sport and comfort tires,It surprised me that I still came in the top 400. Looking forward for next week, I'm done with this.

From your garage, put on some sport medium or sport soft tyres on, go to free run, set course grip levels to real, run some laps, save best lap replay for a slightly quicker ghost

At last... I'm a member of 20th family !

I gonna give this a try next week, Maybe there is a 1.20 lap in it.

After being away from the game for 2,5 months due to work not surprised to see nothing new in GT6. :indiff:

Anyway back for the seasonal's because I do still like the game.
After some testing used @Doodle's NSX tune. As always thanks everybody for tips and sharing tunes.
With DS3 (ABS 1 only) just got myself in the 20's with a 1:20,988.

Hope coming Thursday they come up with a bit more original TT's, but probably not.....:boggled:

I've been messing around with my KTM tune for the last few days and no improvement in my time of 1:20.387. Decided to just start over clean with Ed's tune and within 5 laps got me a 1:20.218.

Thinking this may be it for me, thanks for the tune Ed!

Holy crap! Anyone else notice what just happened at the top of the rankings just now?

GT_Rajman's 1:18.667 had been sitting steady as the #1 time for the event for the past 19 days, with his NSX Proto, and all the others in the top 10 were all also done with the NSX Prototype (and the majority of the Top 250 for that tmatter).

But L-Shooter just overtook GT's top time by a margin of over 2 tenths of a second... ...in an X-BOW R '12!

Yup, I was like  because it rarely happens for the top time to be set by a different car than Top 10.

As a bit of info this event had around 125,000 entries. (+-)
