Just wondering if anybody would be interested in a spot race. This one would be in a car that you purchase at the dealer and modify using a total of only 60,000 and see what kind of times you can get at Seattle. Any interest?

Alright well I got a decent response. So let me throw out the specifics and lets get under way.

This will be GT3.

Only spend 60,000 credits on a car that you purchase from the dealership and modify it with what credits you would have left.

The track: Seattle Circuit

Rules: Same as the weekly race series
1. NO wall touching
2. NO cheating
3. NO hybrids
4. Only discuss "T" times do not disclose your final lap times until Sunday at Midnight
5. I think thats it but if you have questions just ask

Lets make it alittle more interesting and say NO ASM and NO TCS

We'll see what kind of times we can all get by Midnight on Sunday Mountain Standard Time.

Hopefully this will be fun. Feel free to discuss your choice of car and modifications.

Try the SS, which starts with about 50 more HP. And if you do much tuning, downgrade to the Stage 1 NA and upgrade your transmission.
Another thing I've noted on this particular track with a different car is that grade of tires can be very influential. Like mediums (which you can easily afford if you only spent 37000 so far) can gain you 3 seconds a lap, vs the Sport tires.

Ok....... I think we have some confusion.

You must purchase a vehicle and modify it spending less than 60k all together. So I have spent 37,000 on mods.... but I also purchased the vehicle for 22,830 bringing my total to 59,830. I'm sorry if that was misunderstood. I chose the Z28 becuase it is 7,000 dollars cheaper than the SS. I figured I could make it stronger with that 7,000 and I figured that since the vehicle is cheaper.... the mods cost less than they would with the SS so I'd be able to get more for my money.

If there is still any confusion just let me know.

31.8/1'16.3 in a new car, and that was on the second lap Think i'll stick w/ this one, its surprisingly easy to drive and if you spend your money in the right way, the budget limitations keep you from making this car a danger to yourself and others. hehe

new time, 31.8/1'15.9 i have seen a 31.5 t1, so its probably safe to day a 1'15.6 is a definite possibility if i can keep everything in line. i'll have to work on this more tomorrow. i must say, this is probably the most fun spot race ive done in a long time, good job comin up w/ it tofu 👍 the 60k cap keeps any of the real big dogs away (cept for my car ) hehe, and the no tcs keeps it interesting as well, cuz you just cant just throw all power into your car and expect it to have traction.

Uhm, well... My GTS performed so poorly I lost interest and went back to the OLRs.

Dude, don't give up. . . I have done that a few times and man, I wished I continued because in a matter of weeks I beat my own record. I am driving an Evolution that I know won't win, but I want to catch up to IDAFC at least

I actually used that MR2 in a testing phase during another 60k challenge. You need to have a bound and rebound setting, also including some spring rates to get it right. Try it without the LSD if you have one installed.

for kicks and giggles i tried out the supra rz, all i gave it were oil change, sports tires 2 way lsd, stage 1 weight reduct, and racing intercooler (about all i had money for). Definently not a contender, but still quite fun to drive

You should be the master of slippery cars at Seattle after runinng BC3. I predict IDAFC will be the fastest here.

LOL I totally agree with you CFM...... I think IDAFC has got this one in the bag. I have tryed a couple of different cars and to no avail....... Even when I hop back into my POS Camaro I cant throw down the times I was before, guess I must have had an on day then. Defineately want to see this mystery car that IDAFC's got goin. Nice times. And if anyone is interested we, me and VG30DETT, do still have tons of idea's about some of these spot races left over from the last weekend get together for some GT3. Sooooo if you are interested just say and we'll throw out another one after tonight......

Oh by the way we'll just post the times in this thread later tonight hopefully around midnight but if thats not possible for you you can just PM me with the times.

haha, totally. im surprised i even wanna DO this race after BC3, but this has been really fun. Im gonna try to lay down a faster time in a little while, we'll see what i can do. This car im using is just so fun to drive in this configuration tho, especially at seattle, im really surprised no one else has mentioned it yet hehe

and yes, i'd be interested in hearing what other ideas you have for some fun spot races
