It could be a throttle control issue. Are you driving with a DS3 or Wheel?

DS3..i havnt even been able to complete any of them, let alone win any! (im playing GT5 again after a 3 week break)

Could someone who uses a DS3 advise on the senstitivity level for these events? I'm guessing level 7 but I could be wrong.

DS3 sensitivity should be at 7. I've been running the one at Eiffel constantly and now my best time is 10:51 over 10 laps. The F2007 on the setup I run is very consistent. Even more shocking is the car can be controlled on grass and there is very little chance of snap oversteer.

I will post my setup soon but to overview it is at 830 PP and no aids are being used. (Along with manual transmission as the F2007 in my eyes seems to be more obedient when under your own gearing timing.)

Sensetivity is set to 7, got all aids on..much better now, will let you know how i got on

Thanks! :)

Well, with my tune you can push it in to the corner really hard before braking. And turn while braking, then be able to get on the throttle much sooner. I have been able to win at nurb at 780pp with a ds3. It just takes practice, pushing farther into corners before braking, and staying between the curbs

Just done the rome race, finished 4th, its ok for my first go, made a few mistakes

Just won the indy race! :) much better now, still made mistakes, but i won by almost 8 seconds! im getting confident at this now thanks!!:dopey:

Just did Eifel 110A with 800PP and got into the lead around lap 5.

50% power, near-full downforce.

I'm going to try it with lower PP by adding some ballasts and lowering downforce. I don't think I can win these races with 747PP, let alone 737...the lowest I'll probably be going is 770.

EDIT: Down to 775PP.

I found the F1 cars to be a bit less tetchy with the sensitivity turned down to 3 or 4. Seemed to help. Other than that, it's just turning in laps to get the feel for it.

I've got an F2007 set to share if anyone needs it. Pretty stable setup.

Can someone suggest settings/tunes for F1 noobs? I have no problem with normal cars and other seasonals, this one is impossible it seems. I can't even beat the first event (Rome - 11th place, always 20 seconds behind). I tried Hyped's settings to no avail, but it seems most tunes are for max money.

I need something just to gold. (using the normal controller, no wheel)

Besides the tunes, what should the Driving Options be set at? I turned everything on and still can't win. Thanks.

Try my tune and put the power at 100% then take ballast off to reach 871pp. Put all aids on with tcs 4 and abs 10 (I'm on a ds3 as well). After a bit of practice you should win with little trouble. Just make sure you change your final gear to adjust for each track. It also helps to really drive deep into the corners and be really hard on your brakes, then get on the throttle early and carry your speed out of the corner. Just takes practice. I went from about the same finishing as you, to winning at 780pp after about a week. So I know it's possible on a ds3. Good luck 👍

Im actually a DS3 user myself and i never drive with anything but ABS and if look at my previous posts im pretty good with it and ive found it really comes down to how good your reaction times are and how well you can control the the steering imput so if your having an issue try 0 sensitivity and work up or down from there I usually like between4-6, the F10 is twitchy to begin with, also turning the front toe down to around -15 to 0 will reduce that . If you need a tuning setup i think i may be able to help if needs be.

Yeah well, I work 40hrs per week, I have a wife and all that stuff.

When I was 16 years old I used to play videogames a LOT, but now, 12 years later, video games aren't a priority! :)

As a 46 year old with a full time job, 2 kids and a life I agree. I generally get 30-60 minutes a couple of nights a week when everyones in bed.

I still manage to complete the seasonals but got to admit I'm struggling with my F10 on the Nurburgring.

Just got gold at the "Ring" in my two best ever back to back times of 6:53 & 6:51.Used the F1 2007 for all the events and will try the 2010 next.

I use the controller too. At Rom, Indy, Tokyo and Eifel I used the F10. Power Limiter 100% and adjusting downforce to reach 871PP. Driving aids all on, ABS1, TCR5.
At Nurburgring I used the F2007. Same settings as the F10.

At Nurburgring I had no chance with the F10, and on the other tracks I had no chance with the F2007.

I, too, use the controller.

I've completed the Tokyo R246 race, but I don't remember the PP I had when I did so. It was somewhere between 820 and 840.

The lowest I've gotten on Eifel is 790.

I don't use any aids except ABS1, and my sensitivity is set to -2 because I have some nimble thumbs, and so I can take the very light turns without losing speed.

This is a Ring specialized tune, for Rome, you should lower the camber, increase the power, and lower the aero as far as you feel comfortable doing.

This tune is legendary. I suck and I even win using this. (I run 100% engine power, and lower the ballast on Rome.)

DS3 user and I use mild steering assist. Even with TCS of 0, the car is steady on lower speed turns. Amazing.

Here is my 780pp tune for the F10 '10!

SUSPENSION:
Ride Height- 0/0
Spring Rate- 18.1/16.2
Extension- 7/9
Compression- 8/10
Anti Roll Bar- 3/6
Camber- 2.6/1.6
Toe- -0.15/0.30

LSD:
Torque- 5
Acceleration- 5
Braking- 14

AERODYNAMICS:
Front- 150
Rear- 200

BRAKE BALANCE:
Front- 10
Rear- 10

WEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
Amount- 200
Position- -12

POWER LIMITER:
Level- 74.1% (can be adjusted up or down for different pp levels. at 100% you will be at 820pp, and the setup still works great)

TRANSMISSION:
Set Top Speed- 217mph/350kph
Set Final Gear- 5.620
1- 4.580
2- 3.374
3- 2.553
4- 2.035
5- 1.666
6- 1.405
7- 1.211

NOTE:
This car works at BOTH nurburgring and eifel. I am not much of a driver, only a tuner, so I am sure that someone else can drop the power limiter and give this car a run at 750pp maybe lower. Thanks 👍

Shoe, thank you! Unbelieveable but I tried your tune and got 1st place on Rome and Indy on my first try!!

I didn't have the F10 '10 but the F2007, applied your tune without changing the transmission (only changing top speed for each track), 60 kg for ballast for 712HP, 605kg Weight = 871 PP. Put all aids on, driving line on and drove deep (late braking really helped me catch up/pass opponents).

If I can win, anyone can. Thank you, thank you!! 👍 :gtpflag:

ps. I should add I am driving with the 3rd view (above the helmet), reminds me of Super Monaco GP for the Sega Genesis.

Yup, you can late-brake nearly every turn, except a few at the Ring.

I finish this about a week ago, F2007 with my setup on it. The last race I set out side the car so I can see the hills coming. My car is posted on line for people to use. It's a fun race.

I love this event! After spending two-three solid days of completing the Formula GT Challenge, I had a fairly good idea of how an F1 might handle (the FGT isn't actually an F1 car but it handles like one). Anyway, I golded the first two events without much trouble with a on-the-fly tune (a bit different from stock but not much).

Nurburgring, however, is a different story. I've been racing for hours but the best I can do is eight place by lap 2. I'm at 840 PP and struggling! I have no idea how some of you guys can complete the 'Ring with 750-800 PPs and still have a decent lead time. That is absolutely amazing and I have the utmost admiration for you!!!

I think a part of it is learning the track (I don't know 'Ring too well) and the car (I'm comfortable with it at this point). In any case, I'm going to try Shoe's tune and see how it goes. Also, this seasonal is a godsend for those in need of an efficient way to grind for exp or creds.

Y'know, I never did finish the FGT Championship. I've run all the races, one at a time, but never did the whole Championship series one after another. So I went back after the F1 event to try it out, and holy crap, to those FGT cars feel sluggish! The turn-in is just horrible on them after the twitchiness of the Ferraris!

Just did this seasonal yesterday. Was away from GT5 for 2-3 months. This definitely counts as one of the tougher seasonal. Was at the limit of PP and took 3 tries before winning Rome.. The ring was worse. Eifel was fun but washed out many times. Wonder how you guys lowered the PP so much. Even at 871 pp and trans at 380kph, the AI is slightly faster on the last straight.

Thumbs up to PD and so many who did it at low PP.

Funny thing happened tonight, after doing endless 750pp Nurburgring races for the comfortable credits (not quite easy money, you know), I decided to try some lower pp again. Entered the race at 744pp (max weight, 440hp, 94/118 aero), and barely won, but saw the 4,818,086 credits and thought wtf? Turns out the car had dropped to 737pp and only 425hp in the course of the two laps.

I had relatively clean oil but sure enough, not that clean. Engine rebuild potential hp was even more. Crazy. Guess I'm putting a lot of miles on this car thanks to this awesome event. Love it.

That is absolutely phenomenal! As is stands I have no hope in hell of winning Nurb even with 775 PP. I'm using a DS3 if you're wondering. How on earth did you manage to win with 734 PP?!!!!
