Any benefit of running 720p? Will it produce faster lap times possibly? Maybe due to less stuttering

I won't affect lap times. If the processor lags, time in the game doesn't just keep magically going, it too stops. As for improved performance, yes I believe it eliminates any lag (If you get any, I don't) but obviously means you lose out on some nice sharp visuals, which are hard to come by on 8 year old hardware
