Best not to speculate, the driver is Benoit Treluyer. They are cutting the car open at the moment.
 
man this was right when coverage was dropped here :( i cant believe this just happened. i dont believe it could be that bad with how safe and everything that car is i hope they get him out of there so complications wont be a problem.
 
think they will have a replay? ever?

I hope he is ok, the peugeots arent the strongest cars.-...

All the cars have strong safety requirements so drivers are usually OK with minor injuries, in worse cases they have broken bones but there hasen't been a death in a while.

Whilst that is true don't always assume this, motorsport is still very dangerous and at Le Mans the high speeds can mean big accidents.

I'm not underestimating the danger of motorsports. My point was that all the cars have the same safety requirements even if one may be stronger then the other. During a crash they are all built to behave the same way.
