787B or 787B Stealth

I bought the R18 prototype. It is a very fast and fun car to drive. I am very surprised to see someone call this car slow. Does anyone know if there is a difference in the R18 prototype and stock model? I know the stealth models differ slightly.

No difference except livery and name.
 
Have you thoroughly tested this or just saying that? I thought they were the "same" too but to me the Proto feels a little differently suspension wise.

If they have the same suspension settings - which they do - then to me they're identical.
 
wait wait, for the 787B Stealth (which I owned in GT5 :) ) isn't that horsepower increase only due to it coming with a turbo stock? If not, the oil change alone adds 150BHP to the regular 787B anyway. Don't they both have the same maximum power when fully tuned? In GT6 I have only the regular 787B (I LOVE the paint) and the specs are 9XXBHP, 9XXkg, 7XXPP (I'll edit in the numbers in just a moment)
Also, the 908 will crush the R10, I prefer the Stage 3 turbo to the Stage 2 though, as the powerband is much simpler and doesn't need a very specific tune to handle it.
Nope the stealth on gt5 had 927bhp fully tuned while the standard had around 880.
 
I have not got the stealth yet. I imagine it will have the same power or have more. I noticed some cars have more power in gt6 compared to 5.
yes, most cars can be made more powerful, it's a shame some of them were patched, like that Daihatsu Mira... (okay, that one probably needed fixing)

I'd have to disagree. To me, the Prototype does feel more planted. Also the body shape is different. The Prototype has built in fins on each side of its nose, and the(forgot it's technical name at the moment...)thing that that runs from the middle of the rear wing to the cockpit, it's at more of a downward angle on the Prototype.

And @Maddens Raiders, I'll be happy to attend this duel with my R18:sly: (Unless it already happened?)

I haven't bought the other one yet, and probably won't for a while. The prototype felt really fast, and really planted. I don't have the other one to compare it to yet, but its good to here another vote for it being better. I am glad I asked. I was just blown away someone called this car slow!
 
Please buy both of them and worship them:D:bowdown: Specially the original one. The Mazda 787B is the compilation of Japanese motor racing history, technology, passion, dedication and hard work. It's a national treasure and a pride of Mazda. PD has done a great job replicating it on this game.

Whenever I watch this beauty on Youtube screaming accelerating on straights makes my eyes well up with tears:lol:
