Likewise, I did a few punches of the air, I thought it might take me longer than it did, I've learnt quite a lot on how to drive on GT4 whilst doing these 80 golds.

I accidentally deleted my file with 80 golds.

So, instead of having 80 golds, I now have 50 golds and no silvers, which I'm still slightly proud of, though that black R34 at Fuji is killing me inside. How did I ever get that with my DS2? (I'm using DFP nowadays)

The first time through the tests, I just wanted to finish them to be able to race. So I got about 55 bronze, a few silver, and somehow a crazy-lucky gold on the 1000m acceleration-braking tests. I couldn't bronze many of the Super License tests, especially the dirt and snow ones.

After a while, when I finally got into the Extreme hall, where you need your Super License, I B-specced the easier races in there using overkill cars to get through. Eventually I realized that to finish the game, I would need to get that S license myself, so I plugged away at the hard ones to pass them. I actually managed silvers on the last two.

Finally, when I was close to completing the game and not interested in doing that horribly long Formula championship, I decided to go for all golds. It took some time, and a few of them (Skyline on Trial Mountain in A, for example) were just painful to try to gold. But I completed my personal mission of figuring all of them out, and enjoyed watching me do much better than the demo runs on a few.

Now I am the proud owner of 80 golds!

Update: I've defeated the black R34 of Fuji! I now have 64 golds, and all my prize cars acquired in the perfect sequence.

It's the little things like that that keep me trying at this. I'm hoping to finish the whole thing within 2 days' time, but I may not get all golds by then. I know that the Saleen on SSR5 and the 350Z of Suzuka gave me lots of trouble... But the Stratos of Costa Di Amalfi is fantastic!

EDIT: Got it! I am now (again) the proud owner of 80 golds! It's much easier and harder with DFP. Regardless of difficulty, though, the DFP has been much more pleasing to use. I love it!

Hi again, all!

It's me again, and I just started playing this game (again). Knowing what happened with me n' GT3, this one (GT4) stayed in the box for a LONG time... But I could no longer resist.

And so it has begun. I'm still learning about what it takes to get to 100%, as that may be something I may decide to never do. What's certain is that this version is a lot more robust, and I have a lot of planning to do before I continue.

So for now, I've only completed all 80 License tests. I've saved my gold CB runs, but I didn't want to include them as part of the actual gamesave (wasting a day on something that doesn't count toward 100%). My previous gamesave included 3 days for that CB BS. I was gold through IA9 before I realized this (as well as the fact that the game auto-saves after getting in a car)...

Anyway, I usually like taking a Mini-Max approach. But, as deep as this game is, it will take me a while to figure out what that means. In the least, I knew that getting the Licenses were required, so here I am:
