I've just woken up again. Whats happened between 22 hours in and now?

A GT Ferrari driven by a B-Spec guy crashed and totalled #8 Toyota. And in the restart following the yellow flag period caused by that incident, the #7 Toyota took out the Deltawing. The former spent some 2 hours in the garages, and the latter is out of the race.

I like SPEED's coverage this year, not as many commercials. Now if only they'd get off NASCAR for a bit..

This NASCAR is killing me. I like NASCAR, but the greatest race in the world needs to be shown instead

Toyota drivers handshaking. Good achievement, but they're done unfortunately.

Toyota for the win next year?
If they can sort their engine's trouble out, they could give Audi a fight and take a second place :sly:

The ones to take the victory from Audi are going to be Porsche, if that.

#7 in the pits.

Update: looks like the #7 Toyota is staying in the pits permenantly. Looks like their race is over.

Noooooo! I wanted Toyota to not crash!

I had a feeling something would happen with Toyota, they built the car in 9 months and just jumped into the deep end right away, obviously they won't tolerate this and I have a feeling they'll be back next year with a better car, strategy, etc. Gotta applaud them for their efforts though. Hopefully next year they completely destroy Audi, or someone else does. I like Audi, but enough is enough.

Isn't that enough? I mean, Porsche Cups are still pretty big. All they'd need would be some factory teams for their RSRs.

But they'll return to Le Mans anyways...

I think the proof is the fact you refer to them "returning to Le Mans" when they already have several GT cars in the race right now ;).
Like I said, the past decade has been pretty low key for them, they haven't really had any proper factory entries and they generally seem to prefer selling their cars to teams rather than directly taking part.

I wouldn't say they jumped in the deep end. They had originally planned this year as a development year only running 1 car. They were pressured into running 2 cars and making a more serious effort this year by the ACO.

I think they deserve a lot of credit simply for going for it in the first few hours. They could have easily just sat back and let Audi drive off as they probably knew they weren't going to finish the race at Audi-beating pace, but they didn't and they went full steam and gave us some excitement.

Darn. I really wanted them to win.

I didn't want them to win. I wanted them to fight and make Audis win look epic, not boring :guilty:.

Still, it was a great effort done by Toyota. They'll surely be a force to be reconed in the rest of the WEC and at Le Mans 2013. Good game, Toyota 👍.

Quick, my mind is thinking about taking a nap! Somebody talk me out of it!

Megan Fox will come to your house some time soon if you stay awake.

Quite saddened that Toyota retired of the race. I really wanted to see them finish :( But I guess it's for the best, considering the Davidson and Deltawing incidents. Hope I get to see them again next year or the year after, stronger and more counteractive!

Lol. I like how the announcers on SPEED are trying to announce when it goes to the crowd. :P

They're obviously leeching off of someone else's feed.

Shame but as Peugeot said "We'll come back next year stronger". A 3rd car would help as well.
