Regarding Peugeot's exit (off topic I know): Supposedly, its not entirely a decision made because financial problems. Its because someone on the board apparently thought the racing was a waste of money and to prove a point, they pulled the plug. I won't say thats the official reason as I still need confirmation, but I thought thats interesting.

And Pescarolo's Dome Judd overtakes the TS030 in the general classification!!! :D

Now that's an underdog 👍.

I believe that they see it as a waste of money because they can only capitalize their racing program turning it into publicity. They don't use it to improve the technology in their crapboxes. Maybe, if they had a way of finding a use to what they learn in racing then it could be seen as an investment and not as a waste.

But it's hard not to see it as a wast when four of your cars blow up or when they aren't able to take down a single opponent.

G-Drive nissan nearly hit a spanner dude!

Although it was a tyre that was in the way really, rather than anything else.

I love that Audi names their cars . Still, I've been bugged for some time because I can't remember the name of all three of last years R18s. I know Red Sonja was the winner, and another one was called Diesela. But it :censored:ing annoys me not being able to remember the other .

Anybody nows the names Audi gave their three cars last year?

Not surprising if true as its the exact reason most manufacturers pull out eventually..and usually the reason they get involved in the first place. If you have people who like motorsport on the board, you're going to jump in eventually..and when they leave the board you're going to leave motorsport eventually.

There have been consistent rumours that some board members at Mercedes-Benz are not happy being so heavily involved in motorsport.

Eurosport commentators were mentioning earlier that Peugeot apparently almost got a deal done to sell the 908 Hybrid to a privateer but they were asking too high a price for the car.

I suppose it's a good thing the wheel fell off that early. Imagine if it just feel off at top speed on the Mulsanne Straight. :scared:

ramn that Corvette might be badly damaged. I hope it can return and it doesn't fall that far aback. It was the only team I was trully cheering for.

I'm a Aston fan, but I will say, if anyone can spring a comeback and good repair job, Corvette can.

It looks as if the Corvette problem was mechanics fault, they showed a replay at Eurosport and it seems he barely tightened that nut.

Nakajima, in the dark, in the rain? I guess the French must be more scared of that than they could ever be scared by German tanks nearing their border...
