You know it's not a good idea not braking when leading cars are battling each other.

Leading as in ahead I presume? Good. If you brake BEHIND a car there's no problem, if you brake to the side of a car again, no problem. The deltawing is designed for overtaking at high or low speed as it was a planned indycar.

Just woke up this morning and noticed that the no.8 Toyota TS030 driven by Anthony Davidson is retired, because of the Ferrari yet again....:( 👎 :grumpy:

Delta-wing is retired because of Toyota pushing so hard on the porsche curves trying to keep up with the leading Audi R18's.

Horrific debut for Toyota. Why Toyota why?

Any live trackers up nd running?
Baekdal and FIA WEC live is stuck at lap 108 / 121 for the leading #1 Audi

Anyone else having this problem or just me?

I have the same trouble with Baekdals live tracker. Some hours ago I saw he was complaining about the trouble trough his twitter feed.

A Chronos update... something is blocking us, not sure what. Tried 4 different servers now, and I get 4 different sets of data on each

Anyone notice the lights on the side of the cars? The bubble lights I mean. Apparently they are there to show the spectators at the track which position they are on.

Behind the Number 1. This car would be 3rd.

The #12 Lola - Toyota is 4 laps behind. It's the best hope for us Audi haters.

And even for Audi fanboys like me. I insist, I don't want a victory without opposition. I want this guys to make an effort, I want them to show why Audi is the best team in La Sarthe, but this way it'll be just a boring walk in the park.

There's something calming about watching the Audi on-board cam while the car laps at night..

I would love to have the first-hand experience of driving at night. The drivers say that you feel a sense of isolation - its just you, the car and the race. Pure driving.

If I'm understanding French correctly, lemans.org is confirming the DeltaWing is out.

http://www.lemans.org/fr/courses/24-heures-du-mans/actualites/abandon-officiel-de-la-nissan-deltawing_7842.html

The deltawing, piloted by Marino franchitti, Michael krumm and Satoshi Motoyama has retired as confirmed at 22h57 after a crash with the Toyota ts030 hybrid drive by Kazuki Nakajina. The rest I can't work out.

Please stop it, there was more than enough space for Nakajima, the DeltaWing was where it should've been, Nakajima clearly rammed it, of course not on purpose, but it was clearly not the fault of the #0.

You are just biased against the DeltaWing it seems.

That's really cool. Wasn't there something like this (Or even exactly?) in the Nurburgring 24 Hours?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the drivers of the Hybrid Audi's fell asleep. How is one expected to stay awake without a loud engine constantly reminding you what you're doing? :)

color is class, number of lights is position, amirite?

Been following troughout the day on eurosport, exciting first part of the race. Then did some GT5 racing myself :) and now caught up on 'ffwd' , and watching live again.

In my opinion most promising debut for Toyota, I think the car is competitive, but due to other drivers and a little hand of their own little 'tornado' Nakajima, Toyota will now have to aim for finsihing the race. Witch on itself would be nice for a car that never did an official race before Lemans 👍

Nope, but those lights are on Le Mans cars since a couple of years already.

The rest of it is explaining what Garage56's purpose is for.

In 2013, the Nissan Deltawing will step aside for the GreenGT H2 to occupy the 56th grage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans...erm...french bit...car of new technology.

There you go people, and shame to see it go...

I got this suggested: http://live.lemans-tv.com/
Works well for me. Seems to be up to date:)

One thing I've been wondering is how much of Toyota's problems have been caused by the crash with the Deltawing. The way they were describing the problems, it sounded like what happened to it to keep dragging it into the pits was unrelated to the crash. I suppose we'll never really know, but it honestly sounded like they were having electrical problems more than anything (sensors and whatnot).
