I mean, they do live up to their reputation time and time again.
Unless, like I said earlier, you actually take a look at the facts. But, Of course, a Ferrari was on the track so it was their fault...at least here on the planet

Not sure why poeple insist on pointing the finger considering the conditions. Lots of cars, very poor conditions and different speeds. It might have been the Toyota's fault, but it wasn't a mistake brought on by stupidity.

Just saw a replay from the Porsche during the accident. For me, it looks like the Toyota spun, and the Ferrari F458 accidently hit the Audi afterwards. Probably after losing control when braking so that it wouldn't hit the Toyota.

I wasn't aware the whole Ferrari thing was funny ever..

Boys this is shaping up for a proper race. By default Porsche has been able to gain their laps back to be on the lead lap. Bear in mind we still have a long way to go but this could play out in interesting ways.

The hugs in the #3 garage are so painful to watch. :(

Bonanomi is Audi's 2nd most experienced driver. It may only be his 2nd Le Mans and one of 3 or 4 races for Audi, but he has been their test driver for years and the only driver with more experience in the Audi's is Tom Kristensen. Was really looking forward to seeing Albuquerque.

#8 in the garages, let's see how serious the damage is. It appears it's not too bad since they're just getting ready to put the nose back on.

I bet Rebellion Racing are quietly smirking at this...

Eh. Nothing a bit of bodging with some glue can't fix.

Toyota and Ferrari were both far too fast for conditions, lucky only 2 cars are out because that was huge.

I'm certainly not blaming them. It's just the bashing isn't exactly that narrow-minded and empty.

Based on terrible mistakes by the AM drivers?

Well yeah. I'm not sure why that changes anything since it's still in a Ferrari.

Woah, Toyota went in there way fast in avoidance. Ferrari went into the #3 in avoidance of that.

It's just annyoing to see that La Pierre, who's probably the who should be getting most of the blame for the crash, is getting away the best :grumpy:

After seeing the Porsche in-car camera, I'd say it was indeed Toyota's fault. Ferrari tried to avoid the wreck after the Toyota had already gone sideways.

You do realise that there are many other alternative fuels availible? Electric cars aren't our only option. And it certainly isn't the best.

Take a look at Aston Martin's hydrogen race car for an example: http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-ne...ar-to-lap-an-international-race-ar156287.html

Now that is impressive. It has nothing to do with being stubborn. You like electrical cars, and that's good for you. Doesn't mean everyone else has to like them.
The problem with hydrogen is that it needs a lot of energy to be separated from water. Also electric is better than combustion engines because they have a lot better efficiency. The only real problem with electric motors is their energy supply, as the batteries cannot store much energy per weight unit and they suffer in cool temperatures. But hydrogen fuel cells with electric motors should be at least as good as burning hydrogen in combustion engine so I think it is very questionable to say that electric motors is certainly not the best option. Of course in race cars the combustion engines are the best because of sounds and lightweight power, maybe coupled with additional electric motors. On the other hand nuclear energy could work also but it has its own problems...:p

And to back on topic, I am little disappointed that Porsche is already running in troubles but at least they aren't out of game yet. And Corvettes are doing well 👍

What a stupid maneuver from the 8, absolutely no reason to be driving like that in heavy traffic in the conditions, purely a stupid move from La Pierre.
Also on Eurosport they were saying it was La Pierre fault, but the directors don't like replay uh, once again they failed to show what really happened.

So the #92 911 was in the barriers, and it seems the #8 Toyota didnt see, swerved and smashed into the barrier, the 458 came speeding through and went through the debris and hit the back of the #3 Audi? Thats how it seems so far.

Upon review the 458 did take out the Audi. The #8 hit the wall by itself.

Yup, replay from a Porsche that was coming from behind shows it was all Lapierre's fault. He was trying to catch Bonanomi, forgot he was on dry tyres driving on what I suppose is a humid version of hell and bowled the Audi and Ferrari to the wall 👎.

Just saw good replay, Toyota spun hit Ferrari which hit the Audi.
