Will the Audi R15 drive in the 2011 24 Heures Le Mans? Cant wait to see my fellow compatriot, Tom Kristensen, beat Peugeot again this year - Power does'nt make a difference if your cars have a tendency to suddenly implode, i must admit i had a great laugh with my buddies as the last Peugeot broke down and the driver had to try and fix it alone because no help was allowed 👍

(No offense to Peugeot fans, wish the Audi's were as fast as the french cars..)

Edit: Audi team used Audi R15 at 24 Heures Le Mans 2010, d'oh!

True, only if they didn't push their cars so far. Will see them triumph next year.

:)

nahh new rules and regulations, you can expect a Audi R18 next year... I so want Peugeot to win next year... :dunce:

The official unveiling of the R18 is tomorrow.

Howabout getting back to the point of the thread.

Can we get some track numbers?

Audi R18... Fail Blog... that car looks like it's from the 90's...

Peugeot is more than likely to win next year as their car is going to look preety much the same as the 908... and what's with the wheel arches?

Are you basing your argument on the looks of the Audi? I think it looks stunning by the way.

The old Group C cars are faster than the new LMP cars, so saying it is slow because it looks retro just doesn't hold water.

Don't let this be a flame war between Audi and Peugeot please. I'm sure it will be an interesting race next year.

okay i cant beat the race that will give me the minolta toyota 88cv race car, but I have enough cash saved up. Which one of these cars will help me win a lot of b-spec/a-spec races for gt all stars, dreamcar championship, like the wind, gt world championship, and all the endurance races. I want 1 car that will win for all those events whether a-spec or b-spec. Here are the choices that I can buy.

1) Peugeot 908
2) Audi R10
3) 787B

I'm guessing these are the fastest and best race cars in GT?

Did you try with a ZR1 race modded, without driving aids? I don't think any of the mentioned are easier to control. Although, they are much faster..

The 908 is the cheapest, but I have no idea which one's the best. Think the one I got is maxed at 930 BHP whith the largest turbo upgrade.

Still people are saying the Minolta 88cv is faster than all of these, sigh. I guess I gotta keep trying Like the wind and win so I can get this damn car.

Fastest doesn't always mean "the best" though. If you are having fun, who cars if there is a faster car? :)

The 908 is not that great at all! It has massive amounts of understeer, and too much torque. You can't drive this car on the limit, you basically have to baby it around a track to get it to work/put the power down.On Lemans it's great, but that's it.👎 Don't know about the r10,but im guessing it's the same.

The Minolta spins out in 3rd and 4th gear aswell, you really just have to glide it through the track. I can't imagine driving these things with a gamepad.. The main advantages of the LMPs are supposed to be the better aerodynamics and handling, as well as better efficiency on endurance events.

I haven't driven the 908 yet, but as my B-specs was driving it on Grand Valley Speedway, it had used 47 litres of fuel after 10 laps. This seems like a lot, but don't have anything to compare with.

Refueling is the most time consuming aspect of pit-stopping, so I'm sure this matters.

I got the 908 last night and although it is a beautiful car it cant compete with the modified minolta, in speed or handling. Plus the minolta has a much better sound. But I do love the look of the 908. I find the minolta even with over 1000hp a very easy car to drive. 908 was a little more difficult for me, but I just got it so I may have to learn it first.

Aston are back next year aswell with a new lmp, the rules should help the petrol cars a little more so you never know... just got my tickets booked excited already!!

Yeah, its only good on lengthy tracks. But it's okay on short tracks. Depending on the regulations.

I can deal with that. ;)

I am deeply sorry... the picture I posted was from 1999... :indiff:

I don't like the front end, looks too square. The 908 looks much nicer, what with it keeping the GT-One/bentley speed 8 triangular front end going.

Also i dont like the fins. I bet theyre great for aerodynamics but they look so silly.

Don't like the front to be honest, it looks like a platypus. Overall the car looks great.
