What shall we do about tyre wear?

Lag wasnt an issue at all in the second race, but in the first race the track totally dissapeared!!
It was lap 10 i think and the final sector of the track completely dissapeared for me, the only way i got through is by following skate. Then the next lap that bit was fine but the track had dissapeared for the tight left hairpin. I wish i could prove this by posting the replay but i couldnt save it.

The left hand corner happened to me too. It was there from lap 10 to the end. it wasn't just me then.....
 
Im not denying you had problems, im just saying they werent general problems that were effecting everyone, its was specificly effecting you and john, everyone else was fine apart from the odd black out and DC, so restarting the rounds and having to do all the work all over again might not even work. Im just getting a bit tired of racing as hard as I can putting a lot of effort in, for it to be just thrown away because a couple of people had bad connection...

Look at johnboys times. He's miles off what he should be doing. The Alfas were slower again on straights. How can you still deny it didn't happen? Your got lists of proof. We should restart round 3&4

Thank you Andy glad someone is taking note listen guys i know my capabilities i sure as hell aint the fastest guy out there but i know based on last weeks races roughly where i should be 5/6 laps in 18 seconds behind please.:yuck:

Same for me, the hairpin wasn't visible for the last few laps, just a few basic outlines. The hairpin would then load just as I was leaving the non-loaded section of track.

Me and John worked hard too. What do we get? Very little points. I think it's hardly fair for us. We've been trying to get faster at SSR5 and we finally do but we get nothing out of it. That's hardly fair.

Pagey right now anythings possible you dont need to prove anything we all need to come back when things are on an equal playing field. Lag DC's black screens strange unexplainable race physics none off it matters we are all in one big crappy boat right now we are all hurting just remember we are all on the same team when it comes to what we want out of our race nights.👍

Mate you were the fastest Alfa at SSR5, yet your weren't in the race. If people are going to say it didn't effect them, it's because John had the bug, as did pipi and me. Hardly fair since we worked hard to get a win or some podiums and don't.

I think re-doing the race is out of the question, yes i agree its not fair at all on those that lost out. But it will be equally if not more unfair on the people who did well. I would be very very annoyed as i won at SSR5, and for that to be taken away wouldnt be right. Im pretty sure i speak for all those who did well also.

In every champ i enter, when someone have a prob in first lap, lag or black screen we restart the race, and i don´t like the attitude of the stewart of the Div1, i was totally ignore, so i'm out of here, i not tolerate lack of respect!!!
 
Im fine with postponing the races, but Im not fine with spending a good hour and a half doing races and quali that end up meaning nothing. You may think I had a great time running around out front, but its actually quite stressful making sure you dont hit a wall or make a mistake for 15 laps, and to do the same two tracks all over again would just be really unfair for everyone else, and it wouldnt necessarily work the second time either, you might still disconnect, then what? Im fine with postponing, not fine with restarting the race. Sorry you had problems.

Yes I do know. You know going into this rave I was 2nd but the bug didn't show the count down. I lost 5 places. Then I was span. You won because your main rivals were hurt by the bug. John was your biggest rival but he was out. I was next but again we were both hurt by the bug. You had easy races. Don't lie. You had 16 second lead by lap 7. You were miles quicker and had it in the bag. So I think you should be fine for another restart. Because you clearly have the pace and should be able to win again.

EDIT: I may of had it in the bag but even then I knew one mistake could lose me heaps of time, its always stressful when your in the lead, even with a sizeable gap. And just because I might manage winning again, why should I, I won it once, think thats hard enough work as it is.

No sense rowing boys at the end of the day it will be Bretts decision (sorry pal hosting sucks sometimes!) Our emotions are running high its nobodys fault i can understand both points of view now i have calmed down a bit (kicking the dog helps) Lets see what Brett comes up with and go from there.👍

Comfy zone with 16 seconds. Stop making sound like it was life and death. It was easy, we all know the mercs are strong there your just spicing it up for no reason.

its not hard or good luck... we have to need the same change to win, or made a better result we can and this not happen today, just it. maybe if happen to you, our speech was other!!!

and i'm not piss off with you guys, just with the Wordup, who is the responsible for the race!
 
I think people need to calm down and see what Brett and the vice hosts decide to do. The bug is out of our hands, we just need to cut our losses and decide what needs to be done about the next race.
I see two options: the update is coming next wednesday, so we could run the next round as usual. Or we could postpone and have a test race to determine whether the update has fixed the issues.
Personally I think the latter option is the best best.

I have been hosting races for many months now and I have learned that I have to draw the line somewhere when it comes to starting races. it is nothing personal and I do empathise, but we were already experiencing problems with Andy being disconnected and we were already late. we started at 9:24, (almost 10 minutes). if we resart and someone else then has a problem, we start a cycle that never seems to end where people ask, "why did we re-start for driver x and driver y but not for me?". I will only re-start if 2 or more in a room of 12 get a black screen. if I get a black screen, I would expect you all to carry on racing and I would think of it as mechanical failure or something. sorry it happened to you, but as I say, nothing personal. there is always the next race.

Okay, here we go :lol:

Firstly I would like to say that we have a good thing here providing the bug is cleared up so I would urge everyone to relax and realise that I am on it!!!!

Ok, I have decided to postpone this as there is no good reason to carry on if the racing isnt fair. I am sure that even if they do clear it up there will be the odd disconnect like the old days (pre 2.0).
Few points to make.

1. Pipi, dont leave us because of this stupid bug. Dont throw away what will be a great championship.
2. All the drivers need to be more involved in the thread with ideas and opinions not just the same 8 people all the time.
2. I understand the frustration of the guys who didnt get any lag now I have decided to re start this. I know you have worked hard for your points but they will mean a hell of a lot more if you have to fight that little bit harder for them.
3. When the season re starts I want everyone to know that although we value our drivers we dont want you if you are rage quitting or smashing into other people all the time. I would rather you went elsewhere as I have not been impressed by a few things on the replays.
4. Thanks to Wordup for helping me out and putting up with the pressure of being div 1 host, I dont think people know how stressful it can be so 👍

Ok so we will restart when the bug is fixed. Meanwhile it has become obvious to me that the 4 second a lap difference between the RWD merc (ssr5) and the AWD cars needs to be addressed. On this note I will be testing on a regular basis so will need good drivers to help me out. I am thinking more power, free turbo choice and more weight.

Please leave your comments on what I have said here.

PS. If the bug gets fixed ALL races will start on time and only 1 restart will be allowed, I will incorperate this into the rules.

Im not going to lie but i am annoyed, seeing as im winning the div 2 championship but when i take a step back it will be better in the long run 👍
