i did nothing wrong im just clearly not wanted here.

Andy dont be daft i for one dont want you to leave! Things didnt feel right at all for me tonight:yuck: To much grip speed race 1 no grip no speed race 2 (whoever said cold tyres please:crazy:) I had no grip for 10 laps then 5 from the end it returned and i could push?? Lag was terrible Andy and Dave glued together flying about all over the place i shut my eyes and tried to pass no idea if i made contact or not complete guess work:grumpy:

i get it when people get annoyed after races but to be blamed or people moaning about me each race; i don't want to stay. simple. they get what they want; me to leave.

You must of heard us wrong, we didnt say you did anything, we were talking about the scrap me, you and dave had towards the end, we were overtaking eachother almost every corner :) And the race results for div 1 were:
John, Rich, Word, Etid, Andy, Dave, Me - Fuji
Word, Rich, John, Etid, Dave, Me, Andy - GVS
My races were rubbish, I just kept getting tangled up with the same people being a bit too "eager" to overtake, so I just kept being bullied out of the way and lost lots of time. I think everyone should be forced to watch that video SM put up in the FGTC thread :(

Where did people moan about you?
Edit: im gessing in lobby.

you have something against me. you talked down to me when i complained about the pace of the alfa. and yes in the lobby.

and spurgy i heard someone complain about diving and hitting them. you can say you didn't hear it but i did

Also I felt that there were no connection problems, its was only that Dave and Andy couldnt see each other on race 2. The only reason you would have experiened grip loss is because GVS has lots of fast corners and when youre following someone you lose grip because of dirty air, we had it in the FGTs too.

JB- We had mics enabled but we got everyone to turn them off at the start of the race. I turned off damage (visual and actual). No sign of the bug or lag.

Andy- As spurgey explained you are being paranoid, chill out and be patient mate. The alfa is the fastest car on track at these settings (slightly)

Spurgey- Cheers for the results mate, taking into account the traffic you mentioned whats your honest opinion of the car at these settings? I am thinking bring down the hp to 483 for the next meet.
I had awful grip at GVS, the calibra always does through the tunnels mainly.

Ok will take that onboard, my pace at Fuji has come as something of a shock if im honest.:scared:

not saying it is slow. its a fine car just i was always in the battle war zones.

My opinion is this, the Calibra was definitely fastest ont he straights, followed by the Alfa, followed by the Merc, I found that several times I pulled out alongside someone and they would just creep infront as we went down the straight.
Through the corners I think that the Alfa has the advantage, followed by the Cally, then the Merc, but this was from my tests, its hard to tell when youre racing because everyone takes different lines.
On tyre wear, the Merc has a very slight advantage over the Alfa and Cally, because of the extra weight its tyres wear faster and I would say that it was almost identical, I didnt seem to have any advantage towards the end of the stint.

Overall I think the Merc is just too slow compared with the Alfa and Cally, and when following someone you get horrible understeer.

Errrrr... yes, many races ago i disagreed with you about a point because all you did was moan in the lobby and on this forum .. . Does that mean i have something against you? No, but at the time i was p'd off that you were knocking peoples racecraft skills instead of messaging berty/wordup (which is an instruction from berty anyway).

same problem the alfa had. no power. decreases the power by 10 on alfa and cally and see what happens

Spurgey- I agree with your analysis. I propose that I test the following and confirm in time for next weeks race.

Max bhp for all cars- 483
Weight for the Calibra-1060 (stock)
Weight for the Alfa-1060 (+50kg moveable)
Weight for the Merc- 1020 (+40kg moveable)

So that is a 10 bhp hit and an even weights for the AWD and merc remains as it was this week?
Everyone happy to give that a go?

Chasing the perfect balance near impossible to base this on each race pace imo:sick: To be frank the Merc needs a little pick me up, Spurgy for me shouldnt be this far off the pace?? Just hope we nail this soon changing the regs every race isnt ideal i understand its difficult take this in the way its meant constructive.:)

I think we would be better of scrapping the idea of running each car together, but instead run a different car each week. Just a thought, also I think the Calibra would need some weight/even less power than you suggested because it was quite fast on the straight and is quite good in the corners.

I was at a loss chasing Pagey through the corners though and with the weight of the cally unmoveable I think its the best one to try next.
We cant scrap running the different cars either, there is no need. We will make minor adjustments each week and will have it spot on by the time race 3 or 4 comes around.

John- They are only minor adjustments to make it fair on everybody. We are not far off now and every race we gather more info. I think my suggestion gives the Merc a pick me up while leveling out the other cars. Same weight same hp for the AWD.

Ill get the results in the OP now.

In all the chaos this has been overlooked me thinks welldone to Word for his win in race 2 and goodwork to Rich (and his legal turbo:sly:) for two second places.👍👍

Andy nobody had a problem with you tonight at all mate! After fuji i asked spurgypurely out of interest which one out of the pair of you, it was that nudged me wide in the esses before th back straight. You and me had a brill close race all the way fuji when we were together, i have absolutely nothing against you mate, you are a brilliant clean driver!

race 2 as you said yourself i couldn't see you, which was odd, so sorry to anybody else that might have got caught up in our odd glitch lol. Thought race 2 was in the bag when i led from the tunnels on lap 1 all the way to about lap 5, gutted i understeered so bad at the hairpin when i did, that was the undoing of it all!

my personal feelings after tonight with regards the cars, are that everything is perfect. Yeah the merc seems a little down on power on the high speed sections, but it is very competitive everywhere else, and that is based on race one between me spurgey and andy, as we had several laps of very very close racing, and also race 2, again me, spurgey and john. Basicaly 1 of each make car. The merc takes advantage of the calibra in later laps when the cally's tyre's are shot.

brilliant night of racing guys, thoroughly enjoyed myself, and i'm already looking forward to next week :-D

Well said Dave there you go Andy we will work on things over the next week and have you mixing things again up top, remember you were running my old set up not tonights new flukey one.

I thought the shuffle race afterwards was even better :D finished off the evening in style with dave getting battered and worduphones driving into a wall :D

Johnboy- Well said mate, great stuff from yourself, wordup and pagey. Big mention to rich for his two silver finishes (massive points). 👍

Dave- Chuffed you enjoyed it, I think most of div 2 did too. I am giving the Merc a small boost for next week so we will see how they go. Congrats on 5th in race 2 mate 👍

ALL- Results have been posted in the OP, check they are right :D

Table looks good to me:sly: see Andy 7th even after tonights problems a strong finish nextweek and your right back in contention:) Youve a good package under your right foot time to show ya metal bud i know youve got it youve whooped my butt enough times!:D

Awesome night for me and I thank you all in Div 2 greatly. Finished 6th at Fuji, but undercut Fast in the pits to take third spot and kept hold of it till lap 14 when I made a mistake under pressure from the two cally's and the merc all chasing me down.

GVS, my first road course podium with a second place. Well chuffed.

My opinion, the merc may be ever so slightly slower over race distance, but all the different characteristics mean they all perform strong in different areas (speed / corners / tyre wear) so my suggestion is to keep as it is rather than changing things again.

At the end of S1 you then tweak if still felt need be .... And .... Working from the bottom placed in the league, to the top (or those relegated) allow them to choose which car they would wish to drive. They are all in OCD so there's no excuse not to have them all.

It may be they choose what was the winning S1 car, or stay with what they have got used to.

I will guarantee that one specific make will not finish in the bottom 3 spots in either league.

Just a way to try and stop the moaning, spec tweaking, and allow us all to get used to what we are driving and make the best if it.

Not in any non one make series, will you get all cars to perform identically.

Peace Out!

Well done John you were super fast at Fuji! Well done Wordup and Rich you guys were quick at GV!

Well in the first race I had no bumbs with anyone and no one hit me which was good. Connection was great as usual for me, no lagg what so ever. I finished in 4th which was great seeming as the Merc is not as competitive as it should be but. But after dodging Andy spinning out 4th is where I finished with Dave right behind me. If it weren't for Andy spinning out I would of been at the back.

In the second race the first half was annoying as the Alfas seemed to go on the sand at the first corner and come back on without checking who was coming. I was nudged a few times but nothing serious. I pitted in last and came out on fire putting in consistant 1 53's i closed the gap on Spurgy, did him on the bridge then a better line than Dave through the last corner led me to take 4th again, not bad.

Overall, I believe the Mercs need to be equal on straight line speed with all the other cars, then we can really get this series going!

Andy bruv I got nuttin against you fam, end of. You get me!

Knelly- I know the slight changes are annoying mate but I cant leave one car too slow as its not right on that team. Its a matter of 10hp and a bit of weight so I will push through with it to help mercedes out. We are not far off now 👍
Congrats on your podium :D

Etid- Good that you had no connection problems, was the damage turned off in your lounge? (visual and actual).

Thanks mate, and was only trying to provide options (the mediator and forward thinker in me).
