Ooh, I'm looking forward to tonights races. very flat tracks, lots of understeer plenty of close battles coming up. Tsukuba is loads of fun with FWD cars but not sure about 4X4 cars...

Sorry I haven't had a practice yet, my first time will be in quali!
When is the room opening?

say that to the mercs which fly past me under braking lol.

Thanks for posting the results 👍 ill update the OP, get your complaints to me so I can check them tonight.

Yeah I have a complaint, why the hell do I always muck up lol.

here is the epic story of epicness, that was "A Wednesday Night.... with Squeekimus"

RACE NAMBA WAN: indianapolisola indy race track

unfortunately i hadnt had a chance to really practice nor setup the car for these two races so i used the same setup for both, and looks like it was more suited to tsukuba!

in the first race, dave was lagging really badly with his car going side to side. i had gained a couple of places from the start keeping my nose clean into turns one and two, and on turn 3 dave went and cut back in. having taken turn three wide but carrying speed i attempted to go round him but his car butted me sideways onto the grass and at 90 degrees to the road.

i tried to collect it and braked as hard as the car would but inevitably i slid across the road and was dead last (or 2nd to last). the next few laps saw dave and another alfa in front of me which i manage to pass and continue with a clean race.

in typical fashion, i pitted roughly at the same time as everyone else (lap 8/9) and entered the pits really well, catching the pack as they were at the limiter. this meant i was close to everyone, and upon exiting my box, dave was in front of me and slowed me to 35mph LOL, so typical!

Dave is the mo farking devil i tell thee, got a pic here!

Satan.jpg

this meant the next car was a good 8-10 seconds up the road and with only a handful of laps remaining i put the hammer down and managed to catch rhy and joe. I passed rhy succesfully but i only caught joe on the 2nd to last lap. on the last lap, my tyres completely went due to my pushing earlier on, so to out corner was extraordinarily hard. using my common sense, i SHOULD have held back till the s/f straight but i took him before the twisties towards the end, and we crossed the line within 0.02 of a second between us!

great cleaning racing from joe in that first race....

WACE TEW: 'Scuba

Tsukuba's 2nd race after the restart was fantastic, i managed to gain first place after the first few bends and focused on keeping a consistant line, braking and accelerating points to maintain a 2.5 second lead over wordup who was being equally if not more consistant.

lap 2/3 saw immortal catch wordup and i have to hand it to both drivers, they had a fantastic battle and i only hoped this would slow them down, but it seemed the grasp of immortals alfa only spurred wordup on!

the race was similar up until a lap or two before the pitting window where immortal appeared to overtake wordup, so i decided to pit to ensure i had the best tyres for the duration of the race.

on my outlap, i messed up out of corners with the cold tyres trying to get some heat into the rears through sliding the back end out, which meant the following lap, i saw not only wordup on my rear, but immortal exiting the pits within tenths of a second infront of me!

An epic battle SHOULD have unfolded. imagine entering turn one, warmed up racing hards, wordup behind me by milliseconds and the infamous immortal right ahead with cold tyres fresh from the pitlane.

the first corner was a shambles of who could get on the throttle and take advantage of immortals tyres, but for me it was an average corner exit.

the cock up came in the chicane before turn two.....

taking the line I always had throughout the race which provided an almost straight line to brake until the entry to turn two, my right front touched the grass, sending me into a spin right into the wall :( heartbroken wasnt the word and many naughty words were heard by ... well..... anyone with a 5 mile radius of my house....

from here (around lap 10/11) i decided to just drive consistently, slightly slower but keep my nose clean so that grabbed my first virtual podium spot... my digital parents looking up at me with digital thoughts of "DAMN our son is just too awesome".

it was a great race and have to say wordup and immortal were great! you two guys are both....

.... legends....

...... and duelling masters

we had a couple of shuffle races, but tbh i thing we should call them shamble races, what do you reckon guys ;) though i should actually get champ points for the amount of times i dodged you buggers

for now, i bid thee good day, and happy squeeking...

truly yours....

Well that went well......

Qualified well with no practice and i think i managed to grab a place on the first corner but on the next corner i was punted off into the gravel....stone dead last :(

I got going and clawed my way through the field and cought up to the mid pack just before we entered the pits. I came out and took joe not long after, then tried finding my way past mike who's car was about 10 metres wide
Got past him and Brett gave me the place back, i tried pulling away but mike stuck with me and got me on the last lap 👍

Tskuba was a disaster, plain and simple. I got taken out a treat on the first corner and found myself in the gravel.....de-ja-vu??

I managed to overtake a few people and went to pit from about 6th but it wasnt having any of it, i went a bit too fast and it spat me out. So i went round again and came in slower this time but the same happened, i got spat out so i drove back into the pits and it just gave me a drive through.
So i had to pit....AGAIN!!! the next lap and this left me last. I managed to catch up with Dave but some superb defensive driving kept me at bay.

Oh and congrats wordup on your two wins ;)

Ray- awesome report mate :D

Pagey- Sorry about that mate, you should put in an official complaint or I wont look into it :sly:

My report
Indy-Did well at the start then slid off and lost the will to press the accelerator any more.
Tskuba- I was awfully slow here despite pretending to Mike and Joe that I wasnt

Lol Pagey, yeah I was fairly desperate to keep you from passing me at the end lol, only so I can be happy with the fact that for once I wasn't dead last lol :P Squeekimus should take note of our last laps, as it was pretty much what I wanted to do to him, but I had grip issues :( Sorry Squeeks mate!

On a side note, me and a mate actually did an O Rly Owl pic, it was on the website and everything! Must try and find it :P

EDIT:

O_RLY__by_dave_creations.jpg

Thats me on the right 7years ago!!!

Basically I turned up to college in that T-shirt, and Jamie (on the left) turned up with the long sleeve version - neither of us were expecting to see each other wearing an identical tee, so I made this, and posted it on the O Rly Owl website when it was up and running. Now it resides on my fairly bland Deviant Art page lol

Whoa dude, not what I expected you to look like

Results are up, stewards enquiry closed 👍

Whoa dude, not what I expected you to look like

Same here  But then when do people look like what we expect them to, apart from spurgy of course

Oh and this is a bit off topic but I was working some stuff out and realised I have been getting 16.5mpg from my car :scared: I've done roughly 240 miles over the past 6 days, I have put 66 litres of petrol in my car (£92 of petrol) Have i done my maths right because it seems ridiculous?

66 divided by 4.55= 14.5 gallons
240 miles divided by 14.5=16.55 mpg

So yes you are correct :D

Just to make things worse I can get 55 mpg out of the Alfa if I try really hard

I've since lost the hair and become a skinhead, and have a bit of a goatee growing, but yeah, thats pretty much me lol :-p

Your not talking about fuel consumption useage in the DTM's are you? Jesus you guys need to get out more! Lol

Oh dear god  I didn't think it was possible to get only 16.5mpg from a 1.6 even if it is a Sport :( I was thinking around 25 with a really bad lead foot
I think I will be in economy mode from now on

And there was me thinking you were Gerard Butler Dave ;)

Dave- No, we are not quite that sad. Pagey has a lead foot in his real life car, which is normal for a 19 year old :D

Pagey- You could get less too mate if you drove like a complete turnip. If you drive a lot in traffic and built up areas expect your consumption to be pretty bad speeding from traffic light to traffic light. Being a country boy I cant help but chuckle when I am in a city and people are accelerating like mad just to have to pull up 200 yards later, save the racing for the twisties 👍

No worries mate it wasnt your fault 👍

on a side note, anyone up for a face-to-the-name sort of ploy?

For those that wonder why the hell my PSN ended up being Squeekimus of all things, i used to fly online when I was around 14, and the next youngest was 30 years old! callsign that was given to me: Squeek. When I joined xbox live promptly after, it suggested Squeekimus and that has stuck since.

Im 24 now and not a day goes by where people dont think im a 12 year old licking the screen

oh, and you want poor mpg? try the MR2 i just sold below!

Geez you boys are real boyband materal. If I put a pic of my ugly mug on here you would all need some serious counselling to recover!

berty - Did you let me past at the beginning of Tsukuba? I aimed right going into the last corner incase you braked before me, slammed on the brakes and the next thing I knew I was in front! Wasn't planning on passing at all.

Squeek - Sorry I couldn't hold up Imortal for a fraction longer because you could have found yourself in front of him AFTER the pitstops. Pity you put that wheel on the grass because you had the pace and the warm tyres to pass him in the following 2 or 3 corners...

Pagey - Sorry for the bump on the 1st corner in the aborted race at Tsukuba. :nervous:

Pagey and Spurgy - Get practicing guys. We have to try catch Imortal! 👍
