Geez you boys are real boyband materal. If I put a pic of my ugly mug on here you would all need some serious counselling to recover!

Squeek - Sorry I couldn't hold up Imortal for a fraction longer because you could have found yourself in front of him AFTER the pitstops. Pity you put that wheel on the grass because you had the pace and the warm tyres to pass him in the following 2 or 3 corners...

lol no where near boyband material trust me, not gay enough :scared:

i was suprised you held him for as long as you did so well done because thats an achievement in itself lol

Real Justin Beibers

myself and mike must now come bust you up for the reference to justin god damn mother 🤬 beaverjob lol!

Brett, whats the weather settings going to be for the Monza? Is it going to be 100% wet constantly? Also you might want to cut down the laps because I dont want to be there for over half an hour :D

will do tonight chief.

only practised for half an hour on monza in the worst conditions possible lol. Trust me, practice is needed by all in this race! the braking points, entry, exit and acceleration points all change by a good 50 yards depending on just damp or wet conditions, so a more stable setup is recommended for the balance, as I noticed going for the usual lower downforce setup really didnt help for the stability of the rear end and turn in on the alfa.

Also noticed an interesting fact on the alfa. I have ABS set to 1 and always slam on, so i tried going 7/8ths of the travel on the brake and it stopped quicker, same with downshifting earlier.

Although this is hard to achieve during a race, i think with practice it could give the edge to those who can master it.

I don't think the Alfa needs any more of an edge  But driving in the wet is quite hard, what do you mean about the brake travel?

Basically, if you imagine in your real car that you can push to a certain amount before ABS is willing to kick in, its almost that sort of effect. I went to about 85%-90% on the brakes and the car slowed much more effectively than at 100% where im presuming the ABS-1 setting would kick in, allowing to steer but not slowing the car as efficiently.

I think mastering the above technique would gain around .2 or .3 of a second round a lap of 1min 20 secs or so, so for longer tracks your talking a good margin.

The alfa doesnt have that much of an advantage over the other cars. All of them have strengths and weaknesses. I find that the alfa is a good stable car, but when the rear tyres start wearing it is easy to light them up, burn them out and in the process spin out. Also depending on the torque distribution, the front tyres can become burdened.

I know what you mean about the brake travel, I have been trying it in the FGT. It works but doing it under pressure is like changeing the habit of a lifetime as I like you assumed you could just slam on with ABS set to one :(

I found moving the brake balance and increasing the ride height helped in very wet conditions. But we don't know how wet it's going to be:confused:

We are all literally going to die at monza if the rain comes down
Just had a run around and its incredibly tricky, I'm definately no jenson button :D
I feel sorry for the guys in the merc

In full rain over 2 mins a lap, gonna be a long race!

Oh.... erm, I wasnt talking to you....I do not know you sir! :nervous:

:D

I'll have to use my BF3 special ops training to sneak across the landing if we finish to late on a skool night! :trouble: Hope I don't wake the Baby when the floor creaks!

Hey V-12, let me know when youre coming to race so I can send you the setups, and if you come up with some yourself, send them over and Ill try them 👍

Had a friend round last night and ended up pulling an all-nighter. I've dozed off twice so far today, but I should be ok for later (yay for coffee). Can we have a reminder of what we can and can't cut on the chicanes at Monza?

Two wheels on track at all time probably, and I think the red and white kerbs count as track too, so a small amount of cutting will probably be allowed 👍
