I applaud the effort to fix the crashing in the first turn problem, but "no passing on first corner" isn't going to help. The same people who don't know when to brake are still going to run into people, they do it on every corner, not just the first. And if there is a problem in the first corner, does everyone behind that problem have to just sit there until it clears up to avoid passing anyone.

New rules are not going to fix the problem.... there are a couple of drivers that dart all over the track, on corner and straights.... that is the problem.

And I'm with some of the others...... why SSR7?

Well that is over, now we get to move onto the Nurburgring.

We ran the race in francone's lounge. There was only four of us so we waited to 27 after to try and make sure everyone was there that was coming. As most of us figured we all got spaced out and and the gaps just grew to the race was over.
Grats to Sommer78 on picking the right car and driving it well. And once again sorry to boshuter. I got bumped from behind and hit him in the first sharp turn sending him almost strait into the wall again. I don't really think it had any effect on the outcome of the race but still a bad way to start.

Results are
1. sommer79
2. Grogfish
3. boshuter
4. hysteric_gi

Yeah, sorry about that one Notman, my braking point was further thant yours I guess. Boshuter rammed me in the wall on purpose after that, and I was 30 seconds behind for the rest of the race. Nice going boshuter, for a guy that does not like people ramming each other, that sure was a nice one. :irked:

I lost track of time, would have ran with ya'll otherwise. If anything, it gives the handful who showed up easy points :)

I really did have a problem with it. I just hated it for bos because I think the same thing happened at Monza to him and it was all my fault that time. I waited a second for bos to get back going again to try and make it fair and not put a big gap on him. He didn't have the top speed my car did and once he lost the draft on me he just fell back so like I said I don't feel it changed the outcome of the race at all. I tried to run sommer down but he was just a bit faster then me. I think he would have a bad corner or something and I would gain a second on him but he would just pull away from me after that.

Yeah, I am sure it did not change the results of the race anyway, after I bumped you, I had the opportunity to pass, but I waited behind you. I kept the inside on the following corner to let boshuter pass because he was in front of me before, and I had the slowest car anyway, so I highly doubt I would have finished in a better position. The thing that pissed me off, is his move to ram me in the wall in that corner, that made the race really boring, I did not see tail lights for the rest of the race... and that was at the beginning of the race.

Just saying that for a guy that moaned about the ramming, he could have just passed me using the outside and there would have been no problem.

It was abit of a snoozefest and didn't seem to be much of a race, more like a top speed test at the salt flats..

maybe more people showing up would have made it more interesting.
Good Race all :)

i lost track of time i guess you can say, and didn't make it. kinda sucks felt i had a good car. a lotus esprit topping out at 110. what were you guys top speeds without drafting?

I had a Lotus Esprit too, it topped around 210 mph, it really was too slow. I guess we would have only raced each other!

210 sry was a typo

that is pretty quick.

so what are the final corrected point standings?

How many laps are we running on the last race? I am thinking 4 but it might be cool to run 6 or so with it being the final race and have to do a pit stop.

Also I hope we have a good turn out for this one.

Go back and look at the replay..... that race could have been good if you hadn't piled everyone up in the first turn...... "my braking point was further than your I guess"... are you joking? Every race we have you are darting all over the track like you are spastic or something, stay in your line and you won't get run into the wall.

Oh yeah..... if you are behind someone and they happen to brake earlier than you... that doesn't give you the right to use them as your brakes, you apparently don't understand that.

I wouldn't mind 4-6 laps, but I'm not sure if I'll make the final today. Looking at a work trip on Monday for a week. Balancing family time and race time is kinda tricky today.

Looks like francon and Ricky have not updated there games so we cant use there lounge. Anyone have everyone added on there friends list?

sorry guys got called in to work today. up for next week if you guys still are. let me know

I did look at the replay, don't worry. I also admitted my mistake and slowed down to let pass.

"are you joking?"

No I'm not, actually my car was a little slower than all the others, and when practicing I was always braking late at the same place.

"Every race we have you are darting all over the track like you are spastic or something"
Gotta love that one! Look at the replay of Monaco! You were stuck behind for a good portion of the race, and could not even see me. When you finally caught up, your car was already a mess. Just before you left, you bumped me in the back and spun out. Double standard much?

"stay in your line and you won't get run into the wall"
Then again, take another look at the replay. I was keeping my line in the second corner, I was following the inside and you had ample space to go around me. Instead, you went far left, then cut back to the right, slammed me into the wall, and went on your way.

The difference between my contact and your contact is that mine was accidental, and I followed the rules to slow down to let pass affected drivers; yours was deliberate and you went on your way.

Basically, you've been the one complaining a lot on this thread about contacts, and you are the one slamming people on purpose. gtfo

Guess it is all over now. Francone's last activity was 08 Feb. Was fun while it lasted.
