lol this can't be daytona! My only effort in that race was to stay out of the way of the fast groups (which was everyone)
 
So do we know how many laps we are running this week? Looks like 20 should put us close 30 minutes from the times I am running.
 
Yea I figured 19 laps. Also I will have to miss this weekend again unfortunately so please if someone could msg the results after the race and I will update the standings

If there was a rewind/fast forward option I wouldn't mind watching Daytona again for the purpose of snapping a pic or two. Thought I had read somewhere that such an update may come in the near future.👍
 
How can you save a replay of the race to watch later? If you do, does it only include the view from your car?

At the end of the race click on the icon of thing that 1st-3rd stand on (what's it called?) and there is an option to save the replay. You can view the race from any car from any view and pause for photo mode. Similar to watching B-Spec racing. Only downfall is the inability to rewind/fast forward at this time.

I've got another question. How do you guys set up these races so only the members are able to get in the room?
 
Any stand ins feel free to jump in, I'm still miles from home. Won't make the race.
 
I apologize for dropping out... but if I wanted to play bumper cars, I'd stick to ramming the AI in Aspec.

This is getting ridiculous :grumpy:
 
that does suck boshuter i think you had the fastest practice time. as for the rough driving i did see it was pretty bad at the start, still have to watch the replay.
also i know the race started a few min early, but i didnt start the race not sure who did.
 
I think Light Damage and Light Penalties should be turned on. Getting spun out right out of the gate is a bit disheartening and not in line with attempting to drive clean. I just hung in until lapped then parked out of the way by the last turn. Although someone found me with their car, think it was Timber, lol. Think his tires were gone by that point though. Honked my horn in support of Timber and Sommer. :)

Race started about 4 minutes early, at least according to my cable box.

If someone needs a review of the race to see something specific, let me know who to view and I'll watch it. A PM would be fine :)

boshuter did you leave the track and come back? I dont know how you started at the back when you put up a 1.34 second lap:drool:. I guess I got lucky and was able to start on pole and miss the melee behind us.

We had a good race at the front I thought. A little pushing here and there but I feel like everyone tried to race clean. I did go a bit to hot into the chicane and pass Ricky but didn't feel like it was right and let him back by. I got slammed by Ricky in the corner ontop of the hill when he passed me but i knew it was coming. I was behind him for a few laps and knew that was his line in that turn. I should have stayed on the inside.

My plan was to run softs and pit half way through the race but after seeing how close everyone was I knew there was no way that was going to work. I really tried to go easy on the tires the last half of the race and get them to the end and it worked.

My tires were toast! I dont know who was doing the bumping either I had a fairly clean run except near the end I got all in somer s way trying to get out of the way lol. It was fun and I did find you parked there near the end I slid right up to you in a cloud of tire smoke . I heard you blow the horn once I was like right on ! Good race guys . congrats to grodfish.
 
That circuit is really tight, it was difficult to not bump anyone, I know I really rammed ricky in the last hairpin, did not brake early enough. I let him repass me after that one. BTW Ollie, I finished in second, I think ricky had tyre problems by the end. I had just enough to finish the race with traction.

I hate that track, my car was setup just right I think. Could have used more power in the back however.

It was a nice race, not many people.
 
I'm pretty sure I ran the fastest time for qualifying, but ended up 7th on the grid!
I was the one that backed out to put on RH tires and while I was doing that, the countdown to start the race came up.. so that was a fun couple seconds waiting to get back in the race.. :sick:

I was able to see the carnage at the start and was able to avoid it, but I spun out a couple of times where I have never spun out before, effectively ended my bid at taking over from the black Evo(I think it was...)

I wondered who was beeping their horn =P
 
Sorry guys, but I am going to have to withdraw from this series. I thought I would have the time to commit to this series in addition to the other two Im in, but I really don't. Good luck!

are you asking about the sharing part where you "share" the car with your friends? if so it only allows your friends to see the cars picture, nothing else.

The online garage works like the arcade "garage" I beleive, you can only use cars from there online.

If you need a car to do the seasonals, you need to buy it or get it traded to you.
If you want I can send you one of the cars I used if you want. just send it back=D

Hey guys sorry for not being around the past week. Between work studying for my license and preparing for a job interview its been a crazy week. Just wanted to let you guys know I haven't left!!! lol

Driver and Constructor standings have been updated

Rule Changes

I don't know if people are being less cautions out there but we should try to avoid all this bumping. Starting from the next race.

1. Penalties will be set to Light
2. Mechanical Damage will be set to Light
3. No passing on the first corner of the first lap. I will watch the replay of every race starts if you pass or cause an accident you will get a penalty of -5 points.

Before the start of Season 2 inactive drivers will be kicked out and #1 drivers of every team will chose their new team mate.

If SSR 7 ends up turning into a snooze fest it will be replaced in season 2

Just for the record it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if we replaced SSR7 now with another track. I find it boring and I think winning will have way more to do with the car rather then how it is driven. But I could be wrong and that is why we race.

As far as no passing in the first turn, is going to be the first turn itself or no passing until you get past the first turn? You get someone asleep at the start or with bad gearing or something and they are going to be passed before the first turn.
 
what are we calling the first turn in SSR 7. the bend in the road or after the exit.
 
Francone, there is an error in the driver standings for last race, I finished second with ricky in 3rd. I have the replay if you want it.

*EDIT* : And, as Ricky asked, we should define the first corner for SSR7, because on that track, the first "real" corner is really far. Would not make sense to prevent overtaking until after that corner...

honestly I am torn. It almost doesn't matter, at least in my head, this just seems like a game of gearing roulette.

I say we drop all the rules and just race the fastest cars we have, or if everyone has FGTs/Ferrari F1's, hell any one can get an X1 from the marketplace. Just to make it interesting. :sly:
