Not disappointed in any way. I wasn't holding out for it to look exactly like the initial sketch as the Mercedes vision GT isn't even exactly like the very first sketch. Even though I like what I see with the VGT sketches, I'm not expecting them to come out 100% like the originals.

Anyhow, love the car. It looks fantastic and drives great. Just looks right. As for those disappointed with sound, well why do you keep getting your hopes up when it never happens? They didn't say the sound was coming in this update (nor was the BMW for that matter), you just hyped yourselves up to believe it would come.

BTW, Concept cars are sometimes just shells of the actual car and, are just that, concept. The interior of the car isn't integral to the outward appearance of the car. But PD may try putting an interior once PD gets it from BMW

Drives really good, but looks like a standard!! I lol'd at the blacked out interior view, they gotta do something about that. Compare that to the bmw they just released in forza, and its a joke.
It is a premium car without an interior. Lack of an interior does not class a car as "standard".
"Standard" quality cars have markedly inferior exterior quality, and the reason they have blacked out interiors is because they are poorly modeled or weren't modeled. This is a concept car that was designed without an interior. It's not up to PD to design an interior for the car. That's all on BMW.

With all them jaggies and the generic engine tone, it looks like a standard.. you see in the video it seems like everyones so hardcore into the idea and then you see kaz talkin about feelings and chi energy or wutever, and it looks so good on paper then you see the actual model n it looks like its photoshopped

They know how to market car, image, and driving pleasure.
That VGT is realistic, car what they can make if they want, looking much M3 series, makes me want to have M3 Black :)
That's German for you (Forgetting Mercedes VGT. Oh wait it really has been produced and it based on SLS)

The engine noise is actually the default exhaust note from the Nissan GT-R R35 family, which I find appalling given they are V6 engines as opposed to this car's I6 with a racing exhaust. Then again, most cars in this game sound like garbage.

You must be playing on a different game if you see tons of jaggies. I see crisp, smooth textures and 3D modeling.

You know that's the thing it's one thing for people to complain about legit things, but don't complain (not saying the person I'm quoting) just to complain. As I've seen and as this picture demonstrates along with others on here, there aren't any jags. The people who initially complain (I'm one of them) do so because there is legit reason to complain and missing features doing it here about this car because you had an expectation that was unfounded @ the OP, is not a reason to get upset.

Though my only issue is didn't amar say this update would be unlike anything to be seen in the series...but this is all I've seen us get with a few others fixes, so

Exactly. GT6 has flaws, but the BMW VGT concept not being a modern remake of the M1 Procar isn't one of them.

There are a few bits of hidden content to be fair, such as the Senna DLC (Lotus 97T, Senna's '78 Kart and at least two 80's track remodels), a Mitsubishi 4X4 concept car, a new GT-R GT3 car, a GT Academy liveried R35 black edition, and some added online features like a random timing race-light start to online races. And that's just what people have discovered so far/managed to dig up by looking through the files.

As long as they work to fulfill the VGT concept, I'm not disappointed.

Much more disappointed with the content PD themselves are responsible for.

Why did they not take the shadow out of the interior, yet? It is obviously modelled and there.
There is no interior modelled. It would be nonsensical for PD to keep it hidden if it was modelled.

I think BMW made the black one to be a "base model". I'm not disappointed one bit. Gives me hope of seeing more Mcars in the game.

Hey, at least the wiper works.

Good lord this has become such a hateful and spiteful place.

Personally, I like that the BMW VGT looks like a normal, civilized race car. I might use this one at some point, it could even slot in to a multi-car series and look right at home. Unlike the Merc VGT which has taken up permanent residence in my stockyard (terrible looking and terrible handling car, IMO).

Now back to your regularly scheduled bickering. :gtpflag:

At least it's something, which is better than nothing.
Edit: I accidentally pressed yes when I meant no.

I had no real expectations of the car. I think it looks good, albeit a bit soft and "manicured" (a bit like the typical BMW driver! :P) and the clashing of that cleanliness with the heritage nonsense of the CSL aping is just about tolerable. But marketing is marketing.

However, I couldn't get on with driving it (DS3, no aids). It's set up to be overly "safe", but the ridiculous spring rate / damping makes it so inconsistent, and it snaps between morbid understeer and torque-induced oversteer quicker than you can say "Achtung!". It's like the M4, only even more polar and numb.

"Sheer Driving Pleasure" it ain't. I'd have to fiddle with the settings, starting with bleeding off some rear downforce and softening the suspension, I think - although I should probably try it with a wheel first.

Leave the marketing out of the driving part, please, car maker people.

@Griffith500 I couldn't really get a good grip or sense of control with it either (DS3, no aids). Understeer when entering corners and at ~apex, but once you exit, weird oversteer kicks in (even a very gentle accerlation does it).

I tried sports soft on it and it actually felt better to drive than the racing hard. But still not my liking.

I love those that are complaining about this car not having an interior, and put the blame on PD when it's not really them who's responsible for it but BMW themselves... Did anybody here ever heard anyone complain about the GT-R Proto not having an interior? I wasn't around at that time soooo...

Ok, even if most of us are disappointed, you can't say it looks bad.

It really is goergeous!
I think it is one of the best looking cars in the game - Full of purpose and intent while the frowning headlights only add to this impression. The way the M colours flow the full length of the car through the air intakes is pretty cool.

I just wish I could paint the wheels as I would like a graphite colour. Same goes for the Lamborghini Aventador actually.

They could've gone the trite way and given us a modern M1. Instead they decided to surprise us with an hommage to the Gr. 5 E9 3.0 CSL (the infamous "Batmobile") and E21 3-Series. And I, being a big Group 5 geek, couldn't be any happier.
