Here is a great article that showed up on my facebook newsfeed, today.

Yeah I was disappointed but only cause of the standard features and not being able to change wheels or paint it. The design is good tho imo. Just wish I could get it in silver :/

I'm a little disappointed that the black version doesn't have the racing stripes on it. And yes, a silver option would have been nice.

But it does leave nice thick black squiggly lines down the road so it's all good 👍

BTW, Concept cars are sometimes just shells of the actual car and, are just that, concept. The interior of the car isn't integral to the outward appearance of the car. But PD may try putting an interior once PD gets it from BMW

Talked to Mr.Taku and he said most concept cars dont have interiors. So. That answers that.

Im not disappointed with the BMW. I'm just happy that everything we're getting is free:lol:. It's better to get something than getting nothing at all.

I only did the seasonal to win it and took a few photos at Arts and Sciences, but I absolutely love it. Can't wait to drive it and photoshoot it this weekend.

This BMW looks great, Really love it, This GT Vision car however is lackluster and hardly pushes the boat out, I feel like this isnt even BMW's vision car but at some point decided to add this one in (i may be totally off with that), But it looks looks like a car BMW are planning on putting out there and getting some promo in with GT6 rather than someones's vision of what a BMW with no constraints would look like. Lame by BMW

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with the car, I'm disappointed with not being able to adjust the transmission ratios. 300km/h top speed is disappointing...

I gotta say, this has to be the most beautiful BMW I've ever seen. Shane that it doesn't have an interior but it's all good.

I think a few ppl r playing way too much gt6 and taking my comments personal. This is america i shouldn't have to explain myself for stating my opinion. The thread asks if i'm disapointed, yea its my opinion, but playing forza too this car looks like crap compared to the bmw they released a week ago.. not saying all gt's cars are crappy most premiums look beautiful and look and feel better... Im sure its just bad timing, but i think for the amount of time we waited for a new vision car, and the hype of the video b4 it, they could or done better.

I see what OP is trying to say, and i agree with him.

The Vision cars should be over the top dreamy and poster worthy.

In this case, BMW has been restraining themselves compared to what Citroen and MB did, BMW has chosen to take the more down to earth road, and more realist rendition of what a Vision could be...

I haven't downloaded the car, but will tonight, and i am sure it is every bit very good if not better than the MB GT.

But visually and if based purely on the visual, i would say honestly that i am a bit dissapointed as i was expecting the spiritual M1 2019 successor...

So i voted "No" by mistake !
Should they really? I think BMW has done it exactly right.
IIRC, Vision GT was all about the car makers'own interpretation of a GT car, i.e. something that fits into their brand. MB said they were recreating (again!!!) the old SL and produced a spaceship that looks nothing like the thing.
But BMW did what they are actually famous for, a powerful coupé-saloon that drives like a sports car. Like the 2002, the M3 (flagship has always been 2-door) and now the M4 and M235. I think it fits better than a recreation of the M1.

Edit: now that I think of it, MB should have made its S-class coupé concept their VGT. Would have been a great marketing move to unveil it afterwards and anounce producton like they did.

I tell you another thing. This concept makes me narrow my next car choices down to getting a 2-series. If we can get a 2-series as one of the "New"(i think it is for the Senna F1 cars and Senna Kart) cars in the Dealership, even better.

Maybe they do one small improvement to this: ability to paint on different colors and add racing number stickers to it, then it will be excellent car for racing series.

Adjustable suspension/aero/LSD is good and excellent because there is same gearbox fit everyone.

Yeah PD did their usual sound dubbing on that trailer video. At least they did a better job on it than they did on the Z4 GT3 Goodwood video  I also find it interesting how in the trailer video of the car BMW representatives talk about how honored they feel for "designing a car for GT6". Shouldn't Kaz be the one feeling honored?

I voted yes because while it is a nice looking car I am disappointed it's nowhere near the proportions of the first sketch.
I think that the sounds in trailers are running on the new engine, because they would have to use "dabing" for every trailer. I know that most of you have lost any hopes about new sounds, but I think, that they want it "perfect" as they are Japanese. I still hope. And as Kaz said, this will be a hole year of updates. On 6th December you can complain, but until that date just wait, be patient. ;)

No, not disappointed. :) I think it's great because it looks good and is very fun, and you won't see it in Forza. ;)

The only thing I am disappointed about is the lack of detailed interior. On the exterior, windows look non-tinted and a rollcage is visible. I thought it'll be the first GT Vision car with detailed interior, but no. :grumpy:

But the car itself looks nice to me, unlike the Mercedes GTV.

You might want to check old Mercedes race/concept/record cars before making that statement.

I am 100% sure I spend more time of my life inside Mercedes cars or reading/researching about them as you do and the AMG VGT looks how I imagine a next generation (+2020) SL/SLS/SLR to look like. A Vision Gran Turismo.

While I like BMWs effort, I can't see anything futuristic about its design, it could just be a M235 special edition coming out tommorow. Infact, the i8 looks alot more futuristic to me.

Like you said about BMWs and their famous sporty saloons, Mercedes has also a very rich history to choose from. If we talk about sport/race cars they have a far richer history.

Edit: I might add that the ever increasing AMG influence bothers me. The AMG GT is not even called "Benz" anymore...

No I am not disapointed! But I feel a bit sad, that again, something unfinished finds its way into GT6!
My reasons for the opinion here :

Positiv :
-Great looking car
-Pure driving pleasure racing/driving it, feels great, brillinat car to drive

Negative:
-No interior cocpit!
-No glowing brake discs
-Just default GT car sound, would have hoped for some more crispy touring car sound or screaming V8. Just like the sound in the BMW Vision video which you can hear in the background when the car is running
-just 2 liveries!
-Not so much Vision in it like the pics before promised, it has a lot of similarities to the upcoming BMW i8, the 1st pics of the BMW vision looked more like a vision, this looks more like a Concept car ( Still looks awesome though! )

So it feels like giving the community at least something instead of nothing to calm us down a bit.
Don`t get me wrong, the Vison beemer is a great addition to GT6, but like so many things in GT6 it is and feels unfinished and not straight tot he point where it could be!

Why 961MB for such an update? Can tell you, the biggest part of the download where the useless videos! Instead of putting so much time in marketing strategies they should take the time for developing the game and addons they want to release!

But at least something happened in the end

While your credentials of "have sat in a Mercedes and looked them up on the internet" are quite impressive (can I use "owns a Seville" as proof of what the future of Cadillac holds?), I'd hesitate to say practical car design is going to change that much in 6 years. Particularly when the SLS successor has already been announced and is going into production at the end of the year. I don't believe Michelin is working on the literal-rubber-band tires as we speak, for example; or that Mercedes would do too well on the market with a car with zero rear visibility yet at the same time about 2 feet of unnecessary rear overhang.
