Most of it you probably get but don't realise it. The 2.71828 is "e" (exponential) which is in simple terms, a figure related to certain forms of decay (remember half-lives and radioactivity?). R^2 is R multiplied by itself, hence RR. The (1/y) raised to the -1 is effectively 1/(1/y) so reversing and multiplying becomes just Y. The square root of X^2 is just X and Force/Accleration = Mass. Making Merry Xmas And yes, I think "I can't be bothered" is always a good conclusion to come to when something doesn't instantly make sense - always worked for me!!

Lol - e is 2.71 when x=1 (e0 =1) so in that sense it's just a number like pi is 3.14 or whatever but by putting different numbers next to it it changes - I don't know exactly how it works - I gave up after the A level pure - it went onto imaginary numbers :s - that is some confusion I can do without!

Just think of it as one of those buttons which you never use on your calculator.
