I used a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61. I went into the sand at Paddock Hill on lap 3, while attempting to take the lead. Still an easy win & almost lapped the Nissan SKYLINE 2000GT-B (S54B) '67.
 
fun win with the 66 Honda s800..max pp with oil change is 433. Complete overkill with the Lancia Stratos and the Bmw 507. a real pleasant drive and win with a detuned 340 Cuda.Alot more cars to buy and try:lol:
 
This is an excellent event for tuning and comparing your stable of pre-1980 cars. The 450 PP limit is a good one to work with.
 
I used the Miura for this one, Whoosiergirl's tune I believe (thanks again). Easy win.
 
Too easy with a Dino. I'll try some weaker cars tomorrow.
 
Hmm, this is really easy, but I guess it *is* the beginner race...

This is a great track to race all manner of classic cars, and I've won with the following (all tuned to 450pp):

Jag E type
C2 Corvette
Dino
Mercedes 300SL
Alpine A110

Next I'll try the BMW 2002 then some much slower cars like the Beetle and the Sambabus!

laughing at myself...this morning when I raced my 340 Cuda while waiting for the coffee to brew I mistakenly tuned it to 400pp...I noticed it when I got home from work:D I will have to go for another win with it at 450pp
 
Use the Praiano tune on the GT40 road car. Put the weight back to stock and detune your power to 450pp and it's an easy win.
 
Went for it in a stock BMW 2002. Can't really say that it was easy, but it was a nice race though. Caught the Dino on lap 4. From there on we went on racing each other to the finish line. The Dino was way faster on straight line but faster cornering secured victory this time.

Stock '61 Jaguar at 438 PP is a ringer car. I threw out the anchor and cruised to the finish line.

Stock Pontiac Trans Am at 415 PP a winner but not a ringer. I had to work at it and no throwing out the anchor once I was in the lead.

Stock '73 BMW 2002 turbo at 387 PP a win but CLOSE! As was said, not much top speed or acceleration. Won in the turns.

Stock '71 Nissan 240 Z at 378 PP a win but closer than BMW. Had the final straight been any longer it wouldn't have been a win.

All were with DS3 controller.
 
Great race to try out some different cars. Bone stock '54 Corvette was a blast. Handled better than I expected, but only got 2nd. Took a couple laps to learn the powerband with the 2 speed powerglide but it really brought me back to my first car, a 1972 Chevy Nova with the same tranny. Got the win with a stock BMW 2002 but the Dino pushed me right to the line.

What was so fun was the AI - they were driving just like you'd expect in a classic car race - very clean so as not to scratch those beauties. Inspired me to do the same so I brought both cars home without a scratch!
 
been buying and trying cars since this started. All cars were set up pretty much the same. weight reduce 3, power to get it to 450 pp,the cheap racing hard suspension and trans,diff upgraded but not tuned.Really fun race

Won easily in Toyota 2000GT, slight power boost and gearbox but still under 400pp.

Gonna have fun going through my garage and dealerships :D
 
First win in Scooby 360 - full tune (around 80bhp) on CS. The E-type rabbit ran into my back end on the run-in to the line and gave me a boost :lol: - I was on his line and he had no plans to go around me.

Second run was in the fantastic Honda 1300 Coupe at 400pp with CS tyres. Much faster but the AI Jag was putting up more of a fight, still easy enough win. I have a tune for the Honda if anyone cares to try it.
