Many thanks to @nowcontrol for keeping us informed as each new events become available. I am very happy to see this event at Ascari. I have a whole stable full of Ferraris to run. I will be posting my wins. I am grateful to PD for giving us another good event.

Edit: I love this track and so do my Ferraris. I have got to get back to my 200% bonus and then I'm going to buy the 330 P4 so my Ferrari stable will be full. Almost all the tunes on my Ferraris were done by @Jeje6410 with a few minor tweaks by me. Even without the tweaks these are awesome tunes.

I used the tune from Team SHMO
If you Google ZZII tune for GT6 it will show up. Adjust power settings to comply.

I used the ShmoGT tune too, but I raised the front and lowered the rear ride heights to get better turn-in.

Many thanks my dear friend Barnabas for having tested and used my Ferrari :cheers::cheers:

My stable full of Ferraris has not let me down in any race so far. This time it was the '07 430 Scuderia with @Jeje6410 tune with a couple of tweaks of my own. This was also the first race I have encountered so many :banghead: penalties. The AI can take short cuts all over the track and when they ram you, they don't get the penalty you do. That is seriously 🤬 up. Ascari with nothing but Ferraris was a real blast of fun. Not exactly saying this one isn't, it's the unfair penalties that's got my hackles up:irked:. This the slowest of lap times ever at this track. I'm not an alien but in the all Ferraris Event I never saw a 12 minute time. The Murcielago LP 640 was the rabbit, but it was a constant battle with the '13 Viper GTS that I got 4 ramming penalties and only one of those was my fault. Was drafting the Viper when he decided to stop at the kink at the start/finish line. Thanks to the Ferrari Event I have learned how to get through there without a penalty. I've run 8 of my Ferraris so far. I've got another 10 to go to pay for the 330 P4. Maybe I'll chose some cars and see what happens. I hope everyone is having a good time at this and the other 3 events,

Edit: Did try a couple of non-Ferraris. @Wolf68 thanks for the idea of the RX8.👍 Excellent choice for this multi- turns track. I have had it so long I don't remember who to give credit to for tune. Next I used the '66 GT40 and this is now one of my favorites. I do believe that it had one of the perfect tunes. It handles so well and it has@Jeje6410 tune on it. Either way below 12 minutes even with the fictitious ramming penalties. Only a few more and I'll have my 330 P4 paid for. Love the track and the car possibilities. One more for today since no one else seems to be posting.

Dare to anyone, win in a stock RUF RGT on SH tires.

Had a go at this, halfway through lap three I thought 'I've got these slowpokes

IMG_20171024_115927.jpg

Then I got killed by the two Vipers

IMG_20171024_115558.jpg

RUF is sweet though, my dealing with traffic not so much :banghead:
I"ll be back for this one though, so come on, you've done it haven't you, I'm resiting the temptation to put the custom gears on it

I must have gotten lucky with the lineup because I won it pretty comfortably first time out. Had the Viper ACR on pole and he did a good job of holding up the Zonda in second. Caught them at the start of lap 5 and cruised to victory. Best lap was 2:18.5xx

Great car/track combo, I was powersliding through the final corner :D

So, I killed a Zonda S 7.3 with a stock M3 CSL at 490pp with a best lap of 2:18.400 and I think...
Try the Honda NSX Type R now. It's 468 PP. Easier to drive and I just won in it.
Damn you, now I have no choice but to polish a few years worth of rust and put some real effort in

This is why I love :gtplanet: :gtpflag:

Well I tried the Chevy SSR and finished twice both times. I had to come up with my own tune. It understeers, pushes like a dump truck and I have done everything I know to fix it. I found quite odd that there wasn't a tune for the Chevy, the F150 or the Ram 4X4. I know there is no specific race for the trucks. it would still be nice to have at least one tune for each. Out of all of them the SSR to me is the best one. I did the best I know how to tune all 3 since I have now won enough credits to buy the Ferrari 330 P4. So I thought running the trucks would be fun at Ascari. They are as long as you don't push them very hard. TRying to turn any of them is a nightmare.

Would some tuner please do a setup for the trucks at 550 PP, Sports medium tires please? I would be very grateful and since many have GT Sport now having some good tunes trucks would be a change of place for those of us who don't have the funds for a PS4 and GT Sport. I am willing to post my tune for the SSR if anyone would like it. My tunes for the Ram and the Tacoma are garbage.

I just feel like testing my pim... err barried out FIT RS 10
FIT_RS10_Ascari.jpg

I had it at 475 ish pp because I added weight to improve the maneuverability, but I guess I reached the limits of the car / novice mod abilities. Everytime I had an improvement the Zonda got more out of reach, like the IA was mocking me, or perhaps was it encouraging me to push farther??:banghead:
Anyway, after several tries I think this is the best I got:grumpy:

I dont recall well, but was not the Toyota the best truck on terms of handling?

After some thinking... I got this to show you.
Bear in mind this is very basic modding, I just applied the initial steps of my "method" (whatever that means).
The Tacoma felt to me like a semi tailhappy musclecar while the LARAMIE felt like a sluggisher LFA, and yes, I consider the LFA sluggish, so you'll have to brake early and be really gentle on the gas until you pass the apex. There are TONS of improvements to be done.
Hope this helps. Both setups are at 550pp and are designed for my trusty SIXAXIS. For reference I play using the d-pad and the buttons, not the analog stick or the R2/L2. Im oldschool like that. So, if you drive with the sticks or with a wheel, it will be much easier for you.
Oh yes, I have two accounts on my PS3, one for the US PSN and one for the Mexican PSN, I forgot to log in in the correct one, sorry its waaaaaaaaaaaaay past midnight over here.

@ishikawa2501, thank you for your input and tunes. I'll give them a try. The biggest problem has been way to much understeer. Othe tan that The trucks run good at Ascari.

@ishikawa2501 thank you again for the setup on the Ram. I was able to win with it, but it was a heck of a challenge. Same problem as with the trucks. They understeer so bad that you nearly have to come to a complete stop. I also ran a few other cars that were much more fun and way easier to drive. I really hope some tuner will post a base tune for the Chevy SSR. @ishilawa2501 :tup:thank you again for the Ram. I haven't bought a Tacoma yet. So off to the dealership.

Well, thank you @Racin510s for testing my humble and rushed tunes! I forgot to mention (it was really late), but the Tacoma has a 50:50 weight ratio, and 1486kg of total weight, so you'll need to apply all the reductions first and then add some weight to the rear, sry I can't give you more details, as I am far from my PS3. If you feel that the Tacoma is too tailhappy, you could reduce the back springrates.

As for the Laramie, man, it felt like I was driving a tank, but the thing weights 1777kg!! So the first things that come to mind that needs to be improved are the braking. I dont mess with the LSD on 4WD because I'm not experienced with it, so perhaps you can bring the brake settings to 6 and test from there. For the understeer, I was tempted to mess with the springrates but a easier way would be to adjust the torque distributing differential and reduce the front/back ratio to 20:80, I left it at 25:75 because that way I felt that it retained some of its 4WD properties before feeling too much FR-ish, but who knows? maybe thats some of you want.

I'm an amateurish tuner. It all started when I wanted to bring the most nonsensical cars (from my point of view) to a roster and win against the classic choices and to make easier for me to drive certain cars within a DS3/sixaxis limits. So far the tune that left the strongest impression in me is the @shaunm80 's Tommy Kaira ZZII, it was a complete trasformation, a revelation of what tunning can bring

@ishikawa2501, I too am an amature tuner. I have a decent handle on cars. I have a few of my own tunes, but mostly I use a tuners base tune and modify it to suit my driving style. I haven't run the Tacoma yet. The Ram drove like a truck. I actually after the first run put the brakes at 10/10. That helped tremendously. I did a flipped tranny and used a LSD setup from a R35 Skyline. It is fast in a straight line but you have to set yourself up the brake. I pondered looking back at some of my GT5 notes and maybe trying one of the GT5 tunes. Yes, supposedly the physics are different, but I still am going to try the one I have for the SSR. Maybe we can collaborate on a tune. I won't be going to the PS4 and GT Sport, so I have to find a way to keep GT6 interesting. I don't know when the date is that PD will pull down the servers. Until then many thanks for helping me out.👍👍👍👍👍. You are an example of why :gtplanet: is such a great community.

Ok, I applied every trick I could think of. There you go.
The SSR is really a challenge, It oversteers more than the Laramie! For me it felt like an FF very heavy car.
The oversteer problem was "dealt with". The weight redistribution helped a lot as less pressure is put on the front wheels while turning, so more grip is available.
I think I went nuts with the ride height, but taking into account the very high spring rates and the damper settings should not be a problem... unless you want to take this offroad.
I compensate the remaining braking / oversteer issues with the LSD, I think some people would want to play with the Acceleration LSD settings to fine tune their ride and be able to put that pedal to the metal on the curves.
