Went American, a 2J on an american track. Did a 7:12, I'm sure the aliens will go under the 7 minutes in the end. Probably the hardest seasonal will in this case be the fastest I think.

Or even just FR and keep the 600pp. Midfield Quick Match with those regs was the best in recent times that I can remember.

At least with these races we can explore the variety and create our own challenge, getting paid each time.

@Wolf68 would you link your message to all those tunes, please? Quite a lot of work and would be much appreciated by people who need a fast setup to get a good result.

Your TS030 times improve so much. Was it due to grid selection and traffic or just the tune, do you think?

pretty sure it was the tune differences that made that much of a change in my times.
All of those tuners are listed in the original post (OP) by @nowcontrol for the set ups...
 
I don't believe that PD has given us 3 good tracks and a multitude of cars to choose from.:confused: I've been learning to tune my own cars so I chose not to use the 2J which was almost always my first choice of cars. I picked the '06 Chevy Z06 LM Race car. After about 10 laps in Test Drive I had a tune I was comfortable with and went and ran the race.👍:). I have to give @skeagracing many thanks as he was my teacher who has helped me understand and tune my own cars.👍👍👍👍👍. That's doesn't mean I won't continue to use tunes from other tuners; since there are many tuners now. Fun race against the Zonda Race Car and the rabbit GTR. @MoparGTS post has given me an idea of the number of cars to choose from.:cheers:. I just don't really like the cars they are giving when you win. I already had the Viper and the worst part is you can't sell them. So another one off to the stockyard.

I had some fun today at Laguna Seca. My problem is that I have so many cars to choose from and to race them on my most favorite track of all time. The last race I dropped the DS3 and it went to replay so I took 2 pictures, one of the prize money and 1 of the starting grid in my @WhoosierGirl IS350. Then the Zonda R and finally the FTO.

What can I say... You all inspire me so much with these threads. They provide awesome tunes, tips and an overview of what cars other people are using and the times they're getting. Wish I had found GTPlanet sooner. My best so far...( TRL_Andromeda/LAZER tuned TS030 & Praiano tuned 2J ) A big thanks to ALL tuners here!!!

Break 6:50 is possible with 3x 1:13 laps...

Based on some B-spec races Toyota TS030 can be faster than Chappy at Laguna, most likely due to the bumpy sectors.

Easy wins with my :
Toyota TS030 Hybrid '12 600 PP (RH) total laps : 7'11'101 (best lap 1'17'311).
Mazda Furia '08 600 PP (RH) total laps : 7'20'555 (bests Lap 1'18'981).
Honda HSV-010 GT Base Model '12 600 PP (RH) with anti roll bars at 2/4 ; final gear at 2.950 ; downforce 400/450. Total laps 7'27'481 (best lap 1'22'221.
Honda Weider HSV-010 '11 600 PP (RH) total laps : 7'28'185 (best lap 1'20'227)
Pagani Zonda R '09 600 PP (RH) with TC at 1 or without TC. Total laps 7'38'559 (best lap I forget :lol::lol:)

What is the fastest rabbit that anyone has come across? I met the Nissan GTR LM today and this thing is fast. I was running the RX7 Touring Car @600PP and twice finished P2 by almost 10 seconds. I didn't have any problems with AI roadblocks and was running 1:21- 1:22 lap times. I used part of @GhostRider65 tune and adapted it to 600PP and my driving style. The car handles like it's on rails but could not catch the GTR:banghead:. I didn't have any offs or penalties. I was running a 4:30 final drive, had great speed. I like to hear some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I have run this event 9 times and this was my first encounter with the GTR. I did have a close win against the Mclaren F1 with the Japanese name.

You may need a better Gearbox setup for the RX7 Touring car for this track to catch the Nissan GTR LM.

Edit: Using the RX7 Touring car at 580PP my best lap time was 1:19.775, and I had the Nissan GTR LM in the field.

Another one for the Stock Challenge in my favourite GT500 car:

573PP - 1:23.143 - 7:36.457 - Honda RayBrig HSV-010 '12 - RH - FR - 495bhp - 1100kg - McLaren F1 GTR - 7:37.245 (Wheel, MT, TC1, ABS1)

Best lap in another race was 1.22.2xx, but i blew it on lap 5 :irked:

Edit: BTW, AI stayed on track for this race, first time i think :lol:​

Would you share your gearbox settings with me? I have used this same car to win 4 other races. I've been using it because it handles so well. I chose not to do the transmission flip. I set my top speed to 186MPH and then adjusted each gear so that I remained in the powerband as I use Automatic Transmission. Many of the flips I've used don't get me enough pull as you would get running MT and being able to downshift to 1st gear. Thanks in advance.:cheers:

One other question; was the GTR in P1 at the start?

GTR was in P1, and I use the transmission flip and I use automatic transmission on the car.
