Welp, this is a thing that's happened.
July 20th, 2011 - I only first joined this website to take part in the Legend of the Streets racing league on Gran Turismo 5. I was really awkward and had no clue of the rest of the site or it's community back then.
Now, nearly 6 years later, I'm now at the 10,000 post mark on what is undoubtedly the best gaming community on the internet. The passion this community has for all racing games is unrivalled on the internet and I couldn't have asked for anything better. But the staff are the real heroes of this site. How @Jordan, @Famine, @SlipZtrEm and co manage to keep a steady ship full of 260,000 members is beyond me, but they're the ones that deserve the credit for putting up with me all this time.
As many have said, you come to GTPlanet for the game, stay for the community. Frankly, without this place, I wouldn't have discovered the joys of other racing games or win my first online championship series.
My allegiances may have changed this last while, but my love for this community hasn't.
Here's to the next 10k.
