They should definitely include both versions in the future. Adelaide is probably Tier 2 in terms of importance in the V8 Supercars. Only really beaten by Bathurst and equalled by others such as Sandown and Sydney Olympic Park

Based on what PD said in their recent announcement, I won't be surprised if this course is amongst the content coming with the Senna DLC, considering this is where Senna scored a pole position and then won the race thereafter.
That there would be a new Australian track coming to the game but it was scheduled for the data logger update which has been and gone. Either it's been rescheduled or it was just a rumour.
PD originally said that there were Australian "locations" coming to GT6. This was before Mount Panorama was confirmed. There was no talk of these locations being tracks, mind (I was certain there was going to be a Sydney Opera House photomode location, which of course never materialised).
So, we've seen one of these locations - we're just waiting on the others...

to me, Mount Panorama=Australian locations in GT6.
I checked the news section in game and they said racing content (for GT6) relating to Senna is coming late May. There are probably already thread(s) about it.
My all time favourite because not only it's my home town but it's a street circuit that has wide roads like a proper racetrack and drivers love it as well.
