This ad just popped up while I was in the Rumble Strip. I'm not sure if it was GTP or Firefox. It hasn't come back but I still haven't been to many pages. Just thought I'd holla about it.

I got that same ad too! I was going to get a screenshot, but I forgot. I'm on Explorer 8, so it's not just Firefox.

It's not just Premium members, but some moderators have got this problem too... it has been raised in the GTPX bug thread already though, so I suspect that Jordan will be on the case soon.

Thanks guys, I've just merged all the relevant posts regarding this issue into one thread. I can confirm there was a bug with the code that removes the ads, but it should be corrected now. Please let me know if it happens again.

Yeah, sorry about that - the blog pages are being cached to disk now to help deal with the additional server load. As a result, they've lost their dynamic qualities and won't be able to determine if you're a Premium user or not (this is the same reason the mobile iPhone/Android version of the blog is not available). All of these features will return as the additional load subsides.

Hey, no problem. I understand now. It's not that big a deal, I just wasn't sure if it was something else.

Has this got anything to do with why when I want to make a comment of a blog article I see:

"Register or sign in to comment"

I click on "sign in" and it sends me directly to the forum user control panel (signed in) and I thats it. I return to the news blog and I am not signed in and back where I started from.

Although If I choose to reply to another user comment then it gives me the window to fill in a name, email addy, website and submit the comment.

Or am I just missing something? :ouch:

Yeah, that's the same issue, sorry about that. :ouch:

No problems.

Since my last post above I posted a reply in the blog to a user comment, the reply window stays so now I can submit a normal reply to the article. 👍
