I run those 16 man Lemans races with 3/4's on mics. no issues. But...sounds good. Next week R0ADRASH's lounge. No mics./disabled. Back to basics.

I don't know what else to try. We could try lowering the room quality, maybe some of us can try it out this week.

I was told to set the room quality to low because what's (recommended) for you may not be for the others. I'll bet that's our issue.

What it needs it a good dose of antibiotics to get rid of the infection, take two of these and call me in the morning. Case closed. GOODNITE!!!!

When I host my lobby is set to race quality/standard voice quality/ standard. We have been doing this way for several months now. I really don't know what else to do. Next week I'll host a public lobby with no fixed host and see how it goes.

As for last nights race it wasn't too bad as far as lag goes for me. It seemed a little grainy and I got a hick up now and then. My lap times were slower but I'm not sure if it was me just not pushing too hard

I didn't notice any lag with cars I was close behind. The framerate made things kinda grainy-was getting hard on the old eyeballs.

Laptimes for me were consistent w/ my lounge. 2:02.7 to qualify and 2:03's and 04's in the race. Same consistency as Laguna last week at least for me.
Shame its been so weird for so many other racers. Maybe have mics disabled in RR's lounge next week.

Hit someone broadside in a GT500 who had spun in lap 1. It was either hit em or go into the sand. Sorry to whoever that was (Brett?).Then spent the first stint pushing hard to catch up. Arm got pretty sore after finally catching up to Bo and just cruised from then on. Nice run DA6, you ran great.

Watch the replay and take a look at everyone's speedometer on the straights. You'll see 142 go to 132 then up to 152 for example.

Well I I know I'm not a diamond member or have 1000 post, but I do know gt5 and how it works. My last post was maybe a Lil cartoonish but it did have a meaning. I think we all know the issue here. Someone wihin the group has a faulty connection. That person needs to take steps in solving this. If your not a Nat 2/High bandwidth (my preference), you need to contact your service provider and sort this out. Its a simple process, if it can't be done then "I" think they resign and go join a league of laggers. But I did have a descent race other than the brake check from chi in lap 1 that sent me to the rear. Don't worry cb, it was a mutual incident. So with that said, congrats to the winners and I hope this gets sorted out by the next race. :)

Aparently the consensus is that I'm the one causing the problems. I got the pm from JT about it and have responded with my resignation from the series. I apologize for causing all these problems and hope you guy have good racing from now on. I've raced in a lot of series, but none were more fun than this one. 👍

This sucks.

Bo I'm no computer guy but is here anything you can do to improve your connection? Different router, up grade from your provider, something? I as well as the rest hate to see you not race with us.

We can disable mics. in full. This suggestion was outvoted in STC. But I'll do it now. Setup as disabled in the room.

I'm all for this. Don't want to loose anyone here especially without trying some alternatives.

I wish there was a way to check everyone's connection in the lobby like other online games

@Scorpion, didn't you just have a upgrade or something going on with your provider if I remember correctly

@JT you can do a ping test but you have to do that on the CPU. Just make sure to check a location near you and across the country

I did the test from my Computer.
I did get my cable modem upgraded for free, my old one was pushing 12years!!
I found this little bit of info from my service provider:

What factors affect connection speed?
An Internet connection and its speed can be limited by:

Computer software and system health
Poor wiring or wireless signal strength
Network and/or wireless saturation (within the residence)
Router health and setup
Modem signal strength and cable connection
Shaw network saturation and health

For ping I think anything below 100 should be good. I ran a few test from the PS3 browser last night and was getting 12-14 down / 3-5 up / pings 55-70 (lower is better for ping).

I still think we should run some test with different quality settings, mics minimum, no mics. Standard for race setting and lower race settings.

Also I don't want seem like I'm picking on anyone, I hate to see anyone go, but I have notice on occasion that when we are having problems and Bo drops the problem have cleared up. I'm NOT saying every time, only occasionally.

It seems also that there are two different issues: sometimes the whole group is effected and sometimes just certain people are effected.

One other thing regarding ping times, they are not constant, the value can fluctuate depending on server location, server load etc.

This is probably some peoples issue. I wish I could post a link with my phone because there's a link in another race series' thread of how to properly connect your ps3 to your wireless router.

Its a shame to lose Bo. I hate to see anyone go so I'm all for trying to race without mics. Hopefully that will solve the issue.

Everyone should try to be hard wired if at all possible.

JT your picture shows Daytona but you listed Indy as the next race. Just sayin'.

On another note I can tell some cars have a better advantage in the 300 class. I took the Celica out last night and my 2nd lap on Suzuka was a 2:03. I added 50 kgs to the weight as well. The best lap I got all week in the STI was a 2:04.7, could just be the track though. The esses induce understeer for the AWD, and there's only one or two turns where the extra front grip makes up for it. Hopefully it will be more competitive at Daytona.

Revised. Thanks.

It's def. the 4 wheel drive slowing you down. Switch to the RX7. 300 class does not have to add any weight this season. I will look at the 300's closer next season and regulate the weight.

The 300 cars weight differ is way out of range of a hp/wt restriction race. In order to classify them correctly, a pp must be set.

@zohsixgt5-----> you should try setting your differential to where your power will be focused more on the rear wheels. Maybe that will help
