Thank you all for the great pre-season racing. It is nice to see a variety of cars in both classes. I hope car choices stay the same and/or just as varied if your making a car change.

QUALIFYING FORMAT CHANGE!!!!

Qualifying will start at 6:35PM U.S. PST (Lobby opens at 6:30PM PST).
Lounge will be open to GT300's and they will enter the course first at lobby restricted 325 HP.
GT300 class will qualify from 6:35PM to 6:45PM. GT300 class is to pause in Pit Lane at 6:45PM and not exit track.
The HP limit will then be changed and GT500's will enter course at lobby retricted 502 HP.
GT500 class will qualify from 6:45PM to 6:55PM. GT500 class is to pause in Pit Lane at 6:55PM and not exit track.

REQUEST FOR GT300 DRIVERS!!!!

Please enter the lounge no later than 6:40PM PST for your qualifying session (actual call time is 6:30PM, format above). If you are going to be late please try to give advance notice so we can keep the GT300 qualifying session open a few minutes more for you.

I'm not going to be using the Nissan Silvia anymore. That thing is dog slow compared to every other car out there in GT300. If there's room in GT500 I'd like to join that class. It's up to you guys who made this series though. If not I'll let you know my decision on which car I want to use for GT300. Had fun tonight, sorry if there were bumps, but I had a good time.
 
Glad you shortened the qualifying times and made them class specific JT.

If last night was any indication, this will be an awesome series. The GT300 cars look to be real closely matched with 3 different winners. Hopefully everyone can get some podiums.
 
Actually, I've found the Wedsport Celica significantly faster than any other Gt300 car. I switched to it for race two
 
Please keep track of post #4 on the 1st page of this thread. It has the most up to date driver and car list. 2 of each car allowed. If we find the Celica to faster by mechanical advantage we can vote to add ballast to it. The RX-7 is a good car also.

My better times in the Celica could also be due to the fact Boshuter graciously gifted it to me with a fine tune already attached.

I did a test of 8 of the SuperGT 300 cars at Tokyo this week, since I had two series races at that track it made sense to test there. I ran all the cars at default suspension settings, with the exception of the Celica, and all had trans set the same. The Celica had a very good (for me anyway) setup on it and it was a car I drove a LOT. I found 2 other cars that I could beat the Celica with by a couple of tenths, which is close enough to put in to just an extremely good lap. Six of the cars would all run within 1 sec of each other, two were slow and I could never get a decent time with them. IMO all these cars, with the exception of the two, are very equal and with the right setup and practice, any are capable of winning.

Last night @GVR, Scorpion and I were running neck and neck for several laps. I was in the Celica and he in the MRS. That lil' booger (the car not Scorpion!) is very quick, we ended in a dead heat with him taking me at the finish line.
