Last night @GVR, Scorpion and I were running neck and neck for several laps. I was in the Celica and he in the MRS. That lil' booger (the car not Scorpion!) is very quick, we ended in a dead heat with him taking me at the finish line.

It sounds like a lot of good stuff coming in this update. I know I should be grateful we are getting that much, but I can't help being dissapointed that they aren't fixing the exagerated draft. IMO that's one thing that really ruins a lot of races. Sure glad to see the replays fixed and extra saves for setups. :)
 
I drove through the field with the Autobachs Garaiya (standard) in the last race @grand valley east reverse. No tune except soft tires and TC set to 1. I was turning 1:03s on every lap but the first. I even got sent to the back of the field with the first turn getting bumped to the dirt. The MR layout helped so much with turn in. Not sure how fast itd be at other tracks though.
 
As it stands now, I'm going to miss next Tues., because of work. I'm going to try to make it, but it's doubtful. I'm lucky, it's only practice, but I do enjoy Rome Reverse.

JT, is it ok if I switch to the Super Autobacs Apex MR-S '00 ?

I'm a little apprehensive of the changes, after all there hasn't been a peep on the actual GT5 in game news or the official website or even the us playstation blog!
I hope it fixes tire wear so that the harder compound tires actually work the way they are supposed to! It would add another dimension the the races we already run.
One plus about these updates to our favorite game, it doesn't cost us a dime
way to go Playstation you got a gamer for life here! what a great idea!💡

Is tomorrow the first race of the series, or is it another preseason race? Either way, is it on Grand Valley East reverse?

We are going to have another pre-season race. I don't want to have anyone left out of the first race because of any 2.0 update issues. This way nobody is stressed out or left out. Yes Rome Reverse. I still have not practiced. You?

Nope, I haven't practiced at all. I'll practice tonight, but I'm not too fond of the reverse courses, so I'm sure I won't do well. :nervous:
 
Just had a thought (scary huh?). STC has 3 races left, how about moving this series to Thursday's or Friday after STC ends.

I don't mind that. If DJ is OK with taking a 7 week break we can run AIWJT on Thursday's/Friday's no sweat. We will run pre-season until a decision has been made. I think DJ will be able to attend more races if the switch is made.

ROME REVERSE-30 laps
Enter Lobby 6:30PM PST
Qualify GT300 6:35-6:45PM
Qualify GT500 6:45-6:55PM
Race 7:05PM
Lounge Host xR0ADRASHx (the O is a zero 0)

That might work out real well especially if we get new tracks in the DLC. It could give us some time on them
 
ATTENTION ALL DRIVERS!!!!

Race days have been moved to Friday.
Season will start November 4th after the STC 3rd season has ended.
If you cannot make a Friday race please advise the league and we can move the race to Thursday or postpone.

Tuesday's really did not work for me very well and I was planning on missing a few races for the sake of the league as it was, this will work out much better. Please chime in and let me know if you all can still stick around. Remember I want to keep this flexible and keep everyone racing as much as possible. Just say somthing if a race day wont work out for you during the season.

This Tuesday's practice still stands on October 4th. See you tomorrow.

Are we going to keep running preseason races every week until STC is over? If so, can I request a track?

Yes, we will still run practice. Sure. We can run your track next Tuesday.

AIWJT race time will remain the same.
 
Glad you've changed the race night. Tuesday is kinda busy for me. Not sure I can make the practice tonite-was hoping to see if the physics 2.0 online had changed any.

The physics seem the same although I'm .500 seconds faster than yesterday. I like the slipstream options.

Slipstream options.... hmmm, does that mean we can run without the exaggerated draft? I haven't had a chance to get online since I downloaded the update. That draft was one of the biggest things I wanted fixed, it just completely ruined racing on some tracks.

Yes the slipstream on low is more better. With it on high it's almost like boost
