This is the '08 Viper right, the ACR one? Medium tires? It's like trying to drive a dump truck. Well actually, it wouldn't be bad if it would only turn..... and stop.

I'll be the first to post a time. Snake, scorpion, and I ran a few laps tonight. I did everything I could to get rid of the understeer, but still not happy with it. I'm running low 2:19's with a couple of :18's mixed in. Didn't try it with softs.
 
The car sounds good. It goes good also but it's like driving a early 70's Chevy through a turn. Should be fun. 2:19's here also.

It's hard to try to practice with a problematic car. Wonder how the car handles in real life...

Thats about where I am as well. You only get one hot lap here as times drop off dramatically.

Wow you can get that many? 6 tops for me and if you spin forget it. Gonna be a 2 stopper

At first I was only getting 5-6 laps, I made some changes to my setup that helped, but mainly changing how I drove the car was the biggest improvement in tire wear. When I was getting bad tire wear I was only running in the 20's, when I changed my driving style for the car my tire wear improved and my lap times dropped. 👍
 
Me too seemed the harder I pushed the car the worse it got. Vipers like to roll the corners and use their torque to pull out of them. It's actually a nice change of pace from the high downforce cars we've been running.

Exactly. Let the RPM's drop and roll. No more 7000 RPM high speed corners.

I used to do overlooking, but this way beyond the air cooled stuff I was doing!

I'm gonna set up in my lounge tonight and test something. I'm going to have mics on low and ask everyone to turn them off before we start the race. If we have lag issues I'll close the room and open a public with mics off. We will enter the track, line up in our qualifing order and proceed. Lets see how this works out. :nervous:
 
Im not gonna make the race tonight guys. Too much to finish up at work.
