Next week on the 22nd we will try to run the DRC race on normal room and mics. low again.

with a pit crew who thought it was causal friday i thought the driver was going to jump in wearing crocs,shorts,no shirt old ww1 leather flight helmet and some ski googles
 
Fingers crossed the update will be the magic wonder fix. I practiced too much at drc to bypass it.

Isn't that how it was set up last night? I wouldn't expect any different results otherwise.

At this point, I'm ready to go for mics disabled.
Another possibility would be split rooms for either class. Certainly a last resort idea.

I'll be out of town on the 29th for Spa-possibly the 22nd too.
 
I think we might have to split the rooms. 16 is too many for pd's terrible servers. My off season races will be max 12. If we have too many people then I might run 2 nights

Let's see if anything changes with the update then we'll decide. We aren't the only ones having these issues.

Last night my car felt like it was down a cylinder and running on flat tires.
 
What is everyones bandwidth? Maybe setting the room to the lowest setting possible would be better. B/c its obvious we are all not operating at a standard or above quality. My bandwidth (high) and my ping was a 27. So I'm pretty much good.

I'm about the same as you Jess.

ncr room was at standard and low mics.

Brett and DA noticed that most of the lobbies they enter are low with no issues and mics. full.

I rather end the season than race 12 in a room. 16 in the past worked in other lobbies with no issues. I'm going to enter a bunch of lobbies today and take note.

This is a recent issue as marked by other leagues and became worse after the update. Our first few races before the update were fine, we had less drivers, but still.
 
I'm leaning toward the participant number being the issue.

Wed. nite DJ had an open lobby w/mics and Bo, Scorpion, supersnake, myself raced with zero lag issues. Never had over 12 people in room I think. We had guys popping in and out for over an hour, ran 4 sprints. Same time of evening as our races.

I could run 1:50's-51's during all races. Last night could barely get 1:57's. Several times it was just wouldn't turn. The last race Bo pulled away from me like he was in a GT500.

My bandwidth is High and its NAT2. I've never had any lag complaints that I know of. This has gotten really old, real fast. I'm sure everyone's sick of practicing for a week then not being able to race for real.
 
We will just call it quits then. I'll start another league after PD can get 16 cars in a room.

If anyone wants to give DRC a shot on the 22nd let me know. We won't run points as ncr might not be around. If nothing goes wrong we can then consider continuing the season after Christmas.

I was experiencing the same things last night, the 500 cars just drove away from me and my wheel was slipping in the turns. My bandwidth is very high and I'm NAT2.

We are going to have to do one of two things split the classes into separate rooms and finish the season or just bail all together and start "off season"sprints in January

I'm blaming Sony and PD on this one. This what free online gaming is, crapy servers that can't handle the load.
 
Well if you remember, we ran that inter-league event with 12+ with international participants and I had no prob. So I'm kinda leaning towards the fact that it may be the mics or someones connection is not jiving.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Mics were disabled. The only lag I encountered was watching the PURE drivers drive off into the distance!

Wish we could get a bunch together tonite and try that. I may be able to make the 22nd, if not don't worry about the points if ya'll wanna race.
 
Standard or low for room settings, set mics at minimum. If that doesn't work we should try no mics. I'm off for the next 2 weeks so I could help trying to figure this out.

Does anyone know what the room settings do? I practiced all week with my lounge set to low quality, didn't notice any visual differences.

why not try this tonight? I can make it lets just throw up a room and try the low quality settings :sly:
 
Fill me in cant do it from my phone. Or maybe I can but ahhhh you guys know about my tech skills
 
I'll just ask now. DA and Zoh, I have to ask you guys to step out of the 22nd race so we can try to get this series over and/or figure out if high driver count is the issue. This will allow the series points contenders a shot. Please continue to be a part of our thread. I really like having you both on and hope to see you at RR Races, STC and AIWJT Series 2.
