Haha. RWD's almost unheard of around where I live. We have a lot of ricers.

My Sable has a pedal, and the shifter's on the steering column.

We use to do reverse donuts with our FFs. One idiot usually did it in a gravel parking lot. This is the same idiot who took his stereo amp out, but never did anything with the live wire. Needless to say it sparked on a piece of metal and the car caught fire. Diabolical knows who I am talking about...actually pretty sure he was in the car when it caught fire.

Haha, what happened was I had parked on a hill, put the e-brake on. When I went to put the Mercury back into the driveway, I forgot to turn it off and tried to do a U-Turn.

So you got the perfect set up. Having that pedal with release strapped open is more fun then a hand brake.

Find a lot. Start into a turn work the e brake pedal some and keep working it to maintain a drift. :) if the cops stop you. Don't mention my name. LOL

Yeah, the nearest cops are about 20 miles away. Not something we worry about in my town.

Pics and or Vids. ;)

I got one ok Video from the night. It was snowing pretty bad and hard to film out a windshield with hyper speed look from the snow. LoL will try and get it posted up today.

Went for some parking lot drifting. Surprisingly, the lot I went to was pristine. My car recorder, however, wasn't cool with this and cut-off the moment I turned off the paved road, so no vids.

The Champ lounge is open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will start at 3pm EST with 12 drivers max.

If something is screwy with the starting order we will restart and line up manually.

Looks like you had a full house. I was going to watch, but saw there were 13 already in the lounge so I canceled. Good luck.

Good race guys. The pace was very fast and it was good fun. I though I was done when I lost it on the straight coming into Indianapolis, but somehow I regained control after a long slide over the grass without great time loss. It was the same mistake as Friday, but luckily a different result.

My apologies to Dsg. On lap 1 coming into the porsche curves I had already passed you but I stayed in the middle of the track and I oversteered on entry which unintentionally left you in a real bad spot. You ended up crashing, I'm sorry for that. Didn't know it was my fault during the race.

Well, this screwed up grid issue is becoming a problem. I tried having everyone stay in the pits instead of going back to the lounge thinking that might help the issue but it didn't. Not sure what to do about this.

Anyway, here are the results for today's race, nice to see a full grid for a change. 👍

We all signed up to race! I say we drop qualifying for now, line them up as the game puts us, and go for it. WRP proved last night that starting position isn't everything. With the exception of Monaco, the tracks on the list are plenty big enough and have plenty of opportunity for passing.

The only thing confirmed to work (and what we used to do before this was fixed and broken again) is to have people run their qualification laps and stay on track and not enter the pits at all. Anyone who enters the track must stay there through the countdown. If they are finished running laps before the time is up they should park out of the way. If one person enters the pits there is a chance things will be screwed up.

This shouldn't be a problem at Spa or Monza where there are areas to get out of the way off track, but is quite tricky at Monaco.

We are going to use this format in the special event as we've tested it today at Fuji and it worked fine.

The alternative is to have someone take note of all the quali times, reset the track again and completely stage entry and start the timer, but it takes a lot more time. I think that's what you ended up doing today after the first issue right?

I warned you about this.. we followed all normal procedures in our WRS races on Wednesday and the grid was screwed up both times... Instead of fixing things with this update they've seemingly broken them.

Any Fuji races this week are not points races so a good time to test new things without getting major complaints. Try the procedure above and see how it works. Fuji has *many* great areas to get out of the way. If you want to run group qualifying you just have one group park and wait while the other goes. Only downside is you don't get a nice pic of the quali times unless you have an observer that's not taking part and can get a screen grab for you.

We didn't, Sagar went back to the lounge and back to the pits. So it might make sense to do a clean test of this. And we didn't try having everyone go back to the lounge. Or rather we did on Friday, but when the room is screwed up to the point that even the host can't see the lap times, it does not matter what one does.

Good race.

Saw that, took my eye off the road and crashed a bit too.

No idea what you're talking about. I understeered into the wall trying to let ptp go on the inside. Gotta watch the replay, I suppose, to be sure.

Here's a short video of the aborted night start. And no, not trying to show off the screens, just thought it was a pretty cool spectacle. Sorry for the shaky parts, was stretching to reach the button and change the view.

Nice 7-inch LCD 👍

This car is pretty awesome at Fuji. Looking forward to the races next week. Team WRS ran some test races today and the car (stock tune) is a perfect match for the track (GT layout).

Have to be careful in the penultimate corner though:

Sorry for being dead in the room. Had company stop by and they has an extended stay. Brought lil 10wk old English Bulldog puppy over. She's such the cutie.

In turn 1 for the TT, I nearly rolled the car twice.

My apologies to Dsg.
Ok, looked at the replay. For some reason I was confused and thought that it was ptp behind me going into that corner. There was some contact, but I can't really blame you for that. I suppose this is where 3-monitor set-up really helps. Also, thanks to ptp for waiting for me.
