Car of The Month: April! - Build your own Racing Modification/Touring Car!

1:52.978 @shaunm80 Lexus IS F '07 (580PP) on Racing Hard Tyres track set/ Real at the Grand Valley Speedway ( TCS 1 ABS1).
I did 10 laps using my G29 and I found it a bit loose in all of the corners and I could not better my time, this car needs a slight adjustment to make it better. Overall I say it is not to bad :).

1:56.740 Lexus IS F '07 on Sports Soft, it want to understeer in the corners and I tried it a bit slower but it is still the same. Overall it is a handful in the corners on these tyres, adjustment also needed to the car for me if I want to use this in the future nice though :).

1:51.882 @shaunm80 Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10 (600PP) on Racing Hard Tyres track set/ Real at the Grand Valley Speedway ( TCS 1 ABS1). I can not pick anything wrong with this car on RH tyres at this track, but this car does not suit me on Sports Soft tyres because it want to mow the lawn when coming out of the corners. Overall SS tyres are no good for me on this car but RH tyres are the way to go, Very well done  Shaun.

Thank you for the reviews. Some of the tunes won't fit all people so I am not surprised that you found a couple that didn't gel perfectly with you. I am glad that you found the Vantage on RH tyres suited though. That car felt really good when I published it personally. :)

I had a lot of fun with your Vantage on RH tyres 👍, and I found that some cars work and some CoTM don't work with me whether the flat floor has something to do with it, but your cars without flat floor are always good with me :):):).

I thought I would try another tune from Antares26...

1:15.305 - @Antares26 Honda S2000 '06 525pp on Racing Hard Tires...

Deep Forest Raceway - Reverse. Track:Real ABS:1 TCS:0

I have always struggled to go fast and maintain a consistent rhythm with a FR car. I felt fast with this tune but I couldn't take it to the next level like @hall90 showed in his impressive video! This is truly a car/tune made for a fast driver and there is nothing wrong with it...it rewards the best driver. I loved the set-up and the way it flowed around the track once I got use to the reverse direction. My biggest problem is the understeer that I induce to the car when I try to push for a faster lap time...I just need to smooth out my inputs and trust the car will reward me. Great tune Antares26 and loads of fun on Deep Forest Reverse! 👍

Glad you liked the tune, I was always trying to work out the balance between understeer and oversteer with this car and I just went with a setup that killed most of the mid-corner oversteer, although that still left some understeer.

As you may have guessed, US cars with flat floors will be coming this weekend. Vettes, Vipers, Camaros (oh my), and April will have a unique batch as well. The May batch will be interesting and exciting, faster cars but I would let the cat out of the bag just yet. That said, I will be adding one more track for leaderboards, but the others currently being used WILL continue.

The track is one of my own, I've added it to the track database and it should be easy to download. Its a fast, wide open track with a few tricky but not difficult corners. Should suit the next few batches well. If you want a jump on learning, there is a post of mine with a link one page back.

The post after SSR11 Leaderboard will be edited and will be used as this Leaderboard. The track is called Eifel Woods, hope you will enjoy :)

The Eifel Woods track is great, I've take a few cars to it, great flow, smooth turns, lots of places that you go flat out that look like you should have to hit the brakes and one that looks like it's fast but is really a slow turn. Well doen on the track sir.

Thank You @hall90 for the 👍 and good time too!!! I know I left some time out there at D.F.R. and I didn't notice the 2 bumps that much. I'll have to check that out.

@fordracer DB coupe '06 600pp review:

SS - At Grand Valley Speedway
Slight understeer in slower sections but not bad or enough to really hurt lap time.
Good grip, great balance, nice trans setup.
Does not like late entry, good think I like easy in, fast out.
Best lap - 1:55.617

RH - At Eifel Woods
Simply wonderful, flowed around here nicely.
Almost like it was tuned here :odd:
Watch late entry, will push wide through the center.
Especially long sweeping left hander after the esses. (but all cars do that in this corner ;))
Great job 👍 Best lap time - 1:31.537

@Brewguy44 R8 4.2 FSI R tronic 615pp review:

SS - At Trial Mountain
Is lots of fun here :D
Does not like going too deep into corners, will slide and lose grip.
Easy in, fast out produces best lap time and great launch on exit.
Best lap - 1:25.937

RH - At Eifel Woods
Can find some understeer mid-corner and brake lift off oversteer.
Can use the oversteer to your advantage though.
Seems the front end too tight, springs or sway bar? (not sure)
Maybe lowering LSD initial on the front might help.
Still, fast around here when smooth, real fast.
Best lap 1:31.465

Alpine A100 1600s 537pp Review:

SS - At Deep Forest Reverse
Now this is a fun little car, expect oversteer from RR but get slight understeer.
Good balance overall, can be driven harder than expected.
Fun trying to push to it's limits.
Really good, fun tune, well done.
Best lap 1:21.195

Thanks for the review @Bowtie-muscle, I am happy with it. Haven't tried it on the new track, and will be shortly. I had a stiffer version that was quite a bit faster, however it's twitches and a little unpredictable. This version races well and a lot more fun to drive.
