Don't know if they publish these but what are the weights, power and other things used in the gt class cars

All cars are supposed to have a baseweight of 1245kg i believe. Porsche had a small exception for a time. Not sure if it is still in effect. Porsche is getting near 465bhp, Ferrari near 470bhp, vette near 470bhp. BMW M3 is near 490bhp.

As for the jag and fords and abruzzi i dont really follow.

Yes the idea is to keep them as close to stock displacements as possible to remain fair and competative. So certain cars with huge displacement like the Corvette gets a weight penalty added by means of balast (amount decided by IMSA officials. They also receive a restricted intake plate (ala NASCAR style). the only thing that they want these teams to be able to have complete control over is suspension components. Wing height, tire width, body panel aero modifications, etc all must be approved ro the regulations that are set there to equal cars performance. what a brilliant way to show off your brands performance, closer to "Stock Cars" than any other top tier form of motorsport, no wonder all these major auto manufacturerz want a piece of the action. Considering all the different manufacturers competing, one could argue there is no current rivalry in motorsport equal to that of the LeMans GT classes this year.

Corvette doesn't have any weight penalty that i know of. Vette, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche all run 1245kg. Vette Displacement isnt that big anymore. Its only at 5.5 I think. They just run at the class maximum now allowed displacement.

I do recall that the BMW M3 had a power advantage because the car itself was less aerodynamic than the Ferrari and Corvette.
