It seems Verstappen turns the clock back to 2021-2024 after he had terrible time at the last race. Meanwhile, Antonelli went from P19 to P3 as of writing of this reply.

This was the race where Russell needed to gain a lot of points on Antonelli with his penalty, and here we are in a situation where he'll lose points

This is pure idiocy from Mercedes.

Can they not just say - swap the lead with each other at Turn 1 every other lap?

The drivers are being stupid and taking pointless risks, but Mercedes are not being clear enough.

edit: As if on cue, Martin Brundle just said this exact thing... but the drivers are being really silly.

Even the call to keep Antonelli behind makes zero sense - deliberately slowing him down when he could be giving Russell a tow and then swapping back positions would surely be a better idea?

Guess it's all a moot point now anyway.

It seems like there has been a change in the TV direction. Less onboards, less whiny drivers, no telemetry showing how bad these engines suck, and no Toto cam or randos in the garage watching themselves on TV.
 
The tire data I'm seeing says PIA didnt change tires during the red flag.

Russell needs a bit of a talking to after this race I think, but the team have been so mealy-mouthed and unclear in their communications - Antonelli hasn't covered himself in glory either, but he's much quicker and deserves the win. But my God, they've not made it easy for themselves here at all.
