I just loaded rFactor and installed the Enduracers mod. It runs smoothly. I am just having problems with braking as my controller for it doesn't have that great of analog range, even when I set it properly. I was running the #17 Falken Porsche '09 (GT2) around MoSport and got a 1:19.44. I want to adjust the brake strength on it, but it seems that I can't. I can say I had a blast with it! I also found and downloaded an R18 for it as well.

Is there a way to see your analog inputs for the throttle and brake? A mod or something in game I missed? An external ini file?

Back to GT5, I really hope to see GT6 become what GT4 was for the PS2. A much better upgrade for from GT3. I'm thinking of sticking with my 458, as I am the most comfortable driving it over the V12 Vantage. Don't get me wrong, the Vantage is fun, but I seem to struggle with it more than the 458.

I have seen a plug in that allows you to see throttle/brake inputs for other games, but I don't believe so for rFactor. Try playing with brake pressure (not brake bias).

We starting the reg season this friday?

I believe so, yes!
I may join the not racing club on Friday. Kevin and I are going to have pace car races.

Almost forgot are we using seths lmp specs for the reg season. I vote we should I think it will be better for tire wear.

That's what I was talking about. It will not allow me to adjust the brake pressure at all.

Some of the things I hear about these computer sims keeps me away from them. Seems interesting with the level of detail and all, but from what I've seen, the graphics are a bit sub par and I know it's somewhat expensive (for me). I don't have much money to invest in something like that either. I have a little laptop that's over 5 years old, probably wouldn't run well with those sims anyway. I always wanted to try them out though. Perhaps one day, until then GT is what I'm enjoying.

Would like to know what the final decision on lmp specs will be. I don't wanna show friday with the wrong specs or having practiced the wrong specs.

Yea will the Bentley be 930 kg or 950 kg?

The red ones.

Also, I'm running the Viper for this season. Got a killer paint job, as usual. You all can check it out when you're passing me :ouch:

I'm in the 1:48s at Daytona. Is that an OK GT time?

Can I run the vette or is THAT_GUY and macospet still planning to run it?

If not I might run the Viper...

I thought I told you I was no longer going to participate? :)

Oops, my bad! I guess I just never removed you from the list. Sorry about that haha. Still hanging around the thread, luckily :)

Well still going with the snake.

Guessing ghskilla's times will be 1:42-1:45 somewhere in there judging by how fast he's been in preseason. I'm still figuring out this tune/car. It seems I get most my turning ability under acceleration on turn out, like a torque oversteer or something. The vette was the opposite. Still getting used to it.

I loved the vette, so stable and i always got a nice jump out of the corners. I would think 45's would be a great time with mediums, low 46's maybe. I dont think i ever broke into the 44's consistently with softs so that seems about right. I might even partake in the warmups with you guys just for old times sake, daytona road is my favorite track.

Just your luck, I took a quick peak again. Honestly I'd love to run in the series, but it doesn't fit my schedule sadly. I'd appreciate if I could be kept on as a reserve driver, just in case ;)

I ran the Bentley at 940kg 500hp and it was a little slower at Indy than the R8. But I didn't have it set up right so when I ran it at SSR5 it was a lot more stable. Plus SSR5 is one of my favorite tracks. Weve ran the specs of the LMP's at the ones I've suggested for 3 preseason races now, Sinladar. I think were staying with them.

Yea I was wondering because the OP had Bentley at 930-950 kg. That is a big difference in weight.

Not really. 930kg or 950 kg is only about .5-1 second per lap difference, so 940kg is a good in between weight.

I just didn't know because 0.5-1 second is a measurable difference. 940 kg is just fine. I just thought that it needed to be cleared up before we started the season because some people could possibly run the car at different weights judging by the OP.

Hope you enjoy your PC gaming life, Kev!

I was wondering, are we going to race on Spa? I've been itching to race on there with you guys..

OP updated with LMP specs and moved Mac to reserve. We could do Spa at some point (not remembering if it's on the track list). Those who don't have it can just count it as one of their two missed races.

If you make every round then will your 2 lowest point finished be dropped?

Also how many laps are we running tonight? I have missed the post if there was one about how many laps for Daytona.

I think I'll drive in the Ford.

I like that 👍 Anyway, how many laps tonight?

The series' races usually last an hour, so we take a raw GT time (not LMP since they'll lap the GT class) and go from there. I think that'll be 35 laps?

Alright. That sounds good. GT was running 1.42-1.46 or so correct? That would put us about 40 laps.

Ah so its Daytona, the season finally starts. :D

I'll hook my Lotus up properly before I get on, but right now I'ma run a couple laps in the 5 mins I have before I leave for work.

High 1:44's are my target.
