Those are the best shots of the car yet, very clear.

Also, holy Aston Martin DP-100 that's an agressive-looking rear end. It's like a car with two sides; a sleek front and a open-wide racing rear end...

Not too surprising, seeing the design of the VGT now. Especially the second set of images (the cars 58 and 45), their tail is the most similar to the one seen on the VGT. I wonder how will that translate to the car's performance...

It's part of an event; more precisely an Auto salon at the Invalides in Paris, France. The Alpine might be the official concept car of the event, since there will also be an area dedicated to concept cars...

I'm finding the rear really off putting though, sometimes it reminds of a Pinsir and sometimes it reminds me of a very excited lady part.

It depends; usually VGT's aren't announced that early without a teaser or two to go with them. And besides the picture on the VGT page, Peugeot has not yet released any other teaser of their car. We'll have to wait and see.

I find it odd too, hopefully it should come with at least one other paint scheme. Just one in white would be sort of dissapointing, just like what happened with the Mazda...

IIRC, it is supposed to be the winner of a contest to decide the best looking car of last year, or something along those lines.

Edit: I am right, it is the Jaguar XE, the winner of the "best looking car of 2014" award.
