"So I polished my shoes, researched the is200 and the rs200. Apparently, the is200 does have a 2 liter inline 6 1g-ge engine. And the rs200 which is the Altezza has the 2 liter inline 4 3sge engine. The 3sge actually makes 50Hp more than the 1g-ge."

In Europe (at least The Netherlands) we don't have the Lexus RS200, only the Lexus IS200, IS200 SportCross, IS300 and IS300 SportCross.
All with inline-6's

We don't know the Toyota Altezza here... only the Lexus IS........

Odd, that must mean my parents have a faulty is200, because it has a 2.0 6cyl engine. Wheras the blurb says that the Altezza of the simmilar spec has an I4 engine. Although, I think there are 2 models of IS200 in the UK there is one with little tiny wheels and probably the I4 plant and the one I made my parents get which is the 6cyl with 17' alloys (or was it 16'?) god knows.

Well here in the land of the free and the brave, it only comes as the IS300 from Lexus and has the following spechs:
3.0-liter, twin-cam, 24-valve in-line 6 engine.
215 hp @ 5,800 rpm, 218 lb-ft torque @ 3,800 rpm
Continuously Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i)
0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds2
Top track speed: 143.7 mph

This is the "5-speed" model they also have a wagon/cross and some "e-shift" deal that I didn't bother wasting the bandwidth on.

Its $30k base and looooks maaavulus

We get the Altezza also. Saw one in the Parking lot at the mall the other day. Silver too
Who's "We" cause the Altezza is not imported to the US? I wish it were, maybe the Toyota version would be less than 30 g's.

The IS200:
"Acceleration 0-62 mph(0-100 km/h):
Manual: 9.5 sec
Auto: 11.2 sec "
 ... o dear.

... I have a renewed appreciation for relatively cheap gas. Let's hope the IS430 is more than just a rumor and some spy photos.

Man, no kidding. A Lexus with 153hp!!!

Man, the average horsepower for a vehicle sold in North America is now 192hp.

I wonder what it is in UK? 115hp? Maybe less!

Thank God gas is cheap here! I would be really sad if the cars around here had 1.1L diesel engines!

I think the smalless engine on todays market is Hyundai's 1.6L

I am pretty sure the lowest Hp car you can buy in USA is (excluding Hybrids) 95hp. Again, Hyundai. Unless there is a Daewoo or Kia with less Hp, which I think there is. But people dont buy them.

Cheap gas, I wish.

Costs over 1 euro a liter (=over 1$/L).

That's why we have a Toyota Corolla 1.3 and it produces only 82hp.

We= US. Yeah we got some Altezza's. It was in the mall parkinglot. There are some at the Toyota lot here too. Right next to a few other dealers :D. Car lovers heaven :D...

Yeah it's really hard to imagine cars with so little (well, relatively) horsepower being the norm. My I4 Accord is magazine tested to do 0-60 in 9.4 secs, comparable to the IS200. Everytime I drive it I get irritated with how slow it is. I would say the average 0-60 for cars in the North American market nowadays is around 7.8 secs. Of course if I had a IS200 I wouldn't care about the power

We= US. Yeah we got some Altezza's
If I had an IS i'd put Altezza badges on them. Now, where can I find Toyota Windom badges for my ______ ?

well if you guys are complaining about the engine (in the game) then why dont we try and solve it...what engine should be hybred into it? (Ah, the power of GameShark)

i am sure Altezza RS200 is inline 4 cylinder, dual VVTi 16V
3S-GE 210bhp
IS200 is inline 6 around 160bhp

IS300 should be inline 6 as well, 200bhp
